"I write this review because I wanted to offer my opinion after reading some of the less than stellar reviews. we have seen this place several times at previous visits in leura and have always tried but never had the opportunity. this time, we must finally try and we are glad that we did. the restaurant is a cozy, welcoming place and the staff was friendly, fast and attentive. the food we ordered was nice, not from this world to die, but very nice. the servier sizes were also generous. we liked the soups especially. I think I have to mention a negatiw that we found that the toilets were not as beautiful as the rest of the rest. Anyway, I will close...read more"

"Very poor expensively priced main meals which went home for our pampered pooches (would not have known what was in the gluggy seafood angel-hair pasta except for 1 tough prawn sitting sadly on top). My Husband's fish dish was terrible. Every wine on the wine list was overpriced & we are not lousy. The chocolate tart (served hot with clotted cream) for desert was excellent and my Husband enjoyed the tiny weeny cream brulee at a cost of $18.00. The only things we were happy with was the deserts & we could have eaten 2 of them."

"Very popular restaurant on the weekend, lucky we booked earlier in the week as it was all booked out. We were due to dine for the later session, but they gave us a call as the table was available 15 minutes early, which was perfect as we were just about to get there. From that point on, the service of the night was top notch, very friendly attentive. The menu was a classic Mod Aust, salmon, scallops, steak, chicken, lamb, pork etc, just what you expect, no surprises. I had the scallop for entree, it was nice and light with the accompanied salad.  The smoked salmon with poached egg caviar was nice too, but for me it still seems a bit of a breakfast combo. My main with the Angus beef was a bit of a mixed dish, the steak itself was good, but the lentils were really out of place didn't go with the dish, also the potatoe cake was chewy crusty, could've been crunchy if it wasn't being sandwiched between the steak the lentils, and soaked through in the jus. The dessert of chocolate mousse pumpkin sponge was good, but we were already so full from the first two courses, we shared one dessert still couldn't finish it. Overall, a nice evening and a good dinning option when staying in the mountains."

"Was here for breakfast while staying at Fairmont, the coffee we ordered was so bad it was not fit for drinking at all, my wife took one sip and gave up, we ended up getting coffee from a local coffee cart instead, we both ordered the eggs Benedict. The poached eggs were very over cooked, hard all the way through, muffin was slightly burnt, the ham was very obviously straight out of the fridge and still very cold when it got to our table which made the whole dish cold in minutes, the very small amount of food service hollandaise sauce added had very little taste to it, this is actually a pretty easy sauce to make, if your chefs can't do it, you need new ones as it should also have a touch of lemon in it. The only thing done correctly (the wilted spinach) was not listed on the menu, probably because wilted spinach is part of an eggs Florentine dish, not Benedict. Needless to say, we both had a mouthful or 2 and left immediately, were not asked why we left, went to reception and cancelled the breakfasts for the rest of our stay but unfortunately were not asked why, we then went to a local cafe in Leura which was very nice."

"Crazy busy, clearly a popular tourist spot-- and one of the larger restaurants in the area from what a brief walk-around revealed. Kangaroo burger tasted"

"Visited for a quick afternoon snack with the family. Just had burger, some fries and drinks. Veggie burger was tasty and fries were thin and crispy. Service was reasonably quick too. My only criticism is that the prices are on the high side for a casual, cafe style venue."

"Had breakfast here and have been a few times. Food and service is always good and their pre made food and salads are top quality as well. If you're up the Blue Mountains for a few nights and don't feel like cooking then this deli provides plenty of options for a healthy take away meal instead of a restaurant. The cafe is popular and always busy so get there early and grab a seat right in the window which has nice views over the valley and to Katoomba."
