"I like it because the landlady dose not faf around,straight to the point. You order, the food is coming out and very good, and tasty. For me experience was good (spot on). It wasn't busy at that time. I don't like hi,hi,hi,ha,ha,ha anyway. I do like the straight forward talk. For some people it may come rude, her talk. Not me i like it."

"Went for lunch a couple of weeks ago. Pub quiet, service very slow, children's food ordered did not come out as the menu stated. Put number plate into their system and have just received a parking fine. Can't understand why this carpark needs to be run by a private company. Not impressed as my visit last year was lovely"

"We love the Old Inn and always expect to pay a little extra for the setting and quality of outdoor space. However, £19 feels excessive for a pizza with slightly overdone base and meagre toppings. A more generous application of toppings would be really welcome if those prices are to be retained."

"Overall, we had a nice lunch, but that was mainly due to the company. The staff were very good, service was excellent. £9 is far too much to pay for a glass of wine! I’ll make an exception if I’m viewing grazing wildebeest on the African Planes, or gazing out at the Mediterranean Sea, but we’re talking about a pub at Merley. The pizza that we ordered was very average, but my burger was delicious, however.........when we asked for condiments tomato sauce they said they had NONE in the house?! Apparently it hadn’t arrived with their stock order? Really? Fair enough, but if it had been my pub I would’ve sent one of the staff to buy some at the local Nisa 5 mins walk round the corner. If I had been told there was no tomato sauce at the point of ordering, I wouldn’t have chosen a burger! 3 coffees ordered, and they came with dessert spoons as they had no teaspoons left. They had all been used for a big party in the private room. Buy more teaspoons with the huge profit you’re making with every glass of wine? My local pub, but probably won’t go again, shame, as the staff were nice."
