Excellent meal. It was a pleasant change to find a pub that serves nutritious and well presented food. A welcome alternative to the usual 'pub grub ' offered these days. Also really good service. View all feedback.
What Nick doesn't like about The Old Inn:
This is a great pub and food is normally very good, however we went there for a Sunday Roast and we were very disappointed, we chose pork with crackling, the crackling was totally inedible as it was as tough as shoe leather and the waiter did also agree that he would have a word with the chef and the potatoes were under cooked with black bits in. It was very disappointing. View all feedback.
We had three main dishes, two bratbeef and one salmon and two pint beer. the food was well cooked and beautifully presented. but the ambiente was pampered by the owners, so two dogs jump on the table next to us. Moreover, I kept the bill £80 in comparison to the similar operated before location calculated trips about £20 too high.
Great eating and service as usual even had our drinks waiting on the table when we arrived! the New Zealand wine was beautiful.
It is good to find a beautiful country pub that serves good food, right drink and all with a welcoming smile and friendly service.
No point when booking a table because it is not there when they arrive there
Welcome smile and acknowledged as we arrived , and we were quickly shown to our table that had plenty of room for the six of us to sit around. The menu offered a good choice . Obviously Sunday lunch time is busy but we were served reasonably quickly . The food was presented nicely and tasted even better !
