"The manager was there all the time. Very good food, wines, and service. Totally worth a visit. The house white wine was delicious and the pasta was great. A good variety of dishes and liquors."

"A restaurant needs to be about the food and to a lesser extent the service. Both were lacking. The management is unsmiling and promotes a casualness with the staff. For example, when the waiter came to take the order my wine glass was overturned. He did not offer to replace it (I was charged and paid) nor did he replace the stained and dripping table cloth. They have a good singer there."

"We stopped for a drink early one afternoon. Our waiter served us our drink and then never returned to the table. In fact, we had to get up to leave before he came running over with the bill (we had left money on the table). Not sure if the service might have been better if we had ordered food, but I'm not sure we are willing to give it a try!"

"We celebrated New Years Eve 2014 at Tata's. The owner was very nice and accommodating . We sat right on the beach and the price could not have been better. My carnivorous family loved the fillet and shrimp. I thought both were just ok. I think as a treat, they served bread and butter instead of tortilla chips and guac, which I can't get enough of in MN. All in all it was a great location and wonderful people but not my personal cup of tea."

"Having walked Playa la Ropa for a 2 week vacation for the last 15 years, it’s surprising we had not eaten at DP before. We finally tried it for lunch and we were sorely disappointed. Nothing we ate was all that good, the service was...slow, and we all ordered 5 different dishes. My son, a non-drinker, ordered fish tacos, and 12 hours later was extremely ill. He mentioned they had tasted a bit odd, but unfortunately did not listen to his own radar. I would not recommend this place, for sure."

"We had an all inclusive plan in Pacifica Ixtapa that allowed us to have dinner in "El Suspiro". It was the best meal of the week, and we received the best service. We tried many different items on the menu and it was all cooked to perfection. My personal favorite was the shrimp carpaccio. The arrachera steak was also yummy; Tender and juicy, with vegetables al dente and creamy mashed potatoes. The drinks were really good, too. The coconut margarita was delicious!!! The restaurant claims to have the best view of Zihuatanejo bay, and I'm inclined to believe it. This is definitely the place to go for a romantic sunset dinner. With the all inclusive plan, the restaurant is excellent value for money. Without, I think it's a little pricey compared to other restaurants in town. Still, I would definitely considerate going there to celebrate a special occasion. It will be a meal to remember."

"Delicious! We each had one of the potatoes. And all were very tasty. Inexpensive beer and soda served in the bottle. A great little gem. Casual and fun. Great for families (even picky eaters)!"
