"We found this place by accident, and our taxi driver recommended it, so we had to try. Turns out the taxi driver's daughter married the owner. Food is GREAT. Went first day, loved it (best Pina Colada EVER). Ask if they had lobster and Jose said he could get for us the next day. So, we came back next day and they were some of the best lobsters we'd ever had. Came back a few days later for a special Sope prepared for us (was great!). Went back several more times and got lobsters again also. We too rode the horses, very fun!! GO HERE!"

"We went to Maderas for both lunch and breakfast. Armando was our waiter and recognized us on our last day there for breakfast. The tempura breaded fish tacos were amazing along with the guacamole we had on the side. For breakfast I had the Zihua egg special, Aporreadillo, was to die for! Really incredibly tasty. I highly recommend Maderas for excellent food, drinks and service. See you next year!"

"In addition to the excellent food in his restaurant, Florencio, the owner, helped us find a boat captain to go fishing. After we caught several Black Tuna, he cooked the fish and we had a delightful meal."

"We have been to Zihuatanejo many times and we were always curious about this place when we would go by on the bus because of its name. We are originally from Michigan in the U.S. This year we finally tried it out and what wonderful fresh, and I do mean fresh fish and seafood. We like sitting at the counter where the fish, shrimp, octopus etc was cut fresh on the spot for the various ceviche type dishes. They even provided gratis a bowl of shrimp consomme as an appetizer. There is a large covered dining area also. Absolutely everything we tried was fantastic and SO fresh. I have the very best Veracruzana ever."

"Manao Cebicheria is great food fast. This amazing little shop has the freshest ingredients at an amazing price. I have literally had everything on the menu and have no complaints and couldn't choose a favourite. Ask Xiomara (the owner/operator what fish is fresh and enjoy the many flavours that this simple menu has to offer. The weekly special is always a creative new spin on classical cebiche and you can check out facebook for what is available this week (and fun discounts and special offeres! . This is an absolute must-try experience.... guaranteed you'll be back for more!"

"Amazing fresh seafood. One of the neatest atmospheres for a restaurant. I would definitely recommend eating here and enjoying the ambiance. I would recommend the fresh seafood or any of the tacos. We dined with the whole family and it is one of the kid’s favorite memories of our trip to Zihuatanejo. While we were dining we even got to see some baby turtles being released to the ocean by the local professional caretakers. What an amazing experience! Also, this would be a great place to eat while watching the sun set."

"Even though the place is not fancy at all, the food is as fresh as it can get, here is where the locals with above average spending money eat. The menu is limited but they sure specialize on those few items. The freshness of the scallops ceviche can be compared to japan's prime restaurants. They have tiritas, shrimp aguachile, fried fish and rice. Do ask for the jalapeño chile, the cucumber, avocado and onion on the side so you can add accordingly. The seafood soup is too spicy for my taste. For skeptics foreigners do not be afraid....someone took me here 2 years ago and i have never been sick or gotten food poisoning so i suggest you take a chance. I return to this small resturant every time i go to ixtapa-zihuatanejo. On the corner is a fresh coconut stand if you like to drink something different and bring it in the restaurant, Queto does not mind and he will surely give you personalized attention in the "open kitchen"."
