"The restaurant is dirty, food all over the carpet. Cutlery dirty. I used to love this Toby but the food was just not nice. Waiting in line for 20 mins. Overpriced. The only positive was the staff are very helpful and polite. I won’t be returning again unfortunately."

"On any trip into Liverpool City Centre I take I always look forward to visiting The Lion Tavern Pub,one of the best and longest established real ale pubs in Liverpool. This pub looks superb,a Victorian era pub opened in 1841,the interior is superb,an ornately tiled island style serving bar,etched glass windows , fab wall art ,pubby decor and furnishings throughout this multi roomed pub,one of the most distinctive features of the pub is the faux skylight,very eye catching indeed and all housed in a beautiful looking building. We were here on a Thursday night ,we ordered pale ale's from Salopian Brewery,these were served in excellent condition,we just settled back and soaked up the unique vibe in this great pub. My pale ale was fab,a golden,well balanced pale ale,hints of vanilla,a slight bitter finish which I really enjoy ,just a classic British pale ale ,it was just so good being in such an historic pub enjoying a great real ale. We really enjoyed our pale ale's in here before moving on,not too far actually as we went The Railway Pub next door. The Lion Tavern Pub is easy to locate along Tithebarn Street. Opening hours are; Monday to Sunday,open from midday. Well worth a visit if you're in the area."

"Nice eating, except on Sunday roast. I and my type had lunch here. I had a fish dish with a vanilla red that was absolutely divine. I then went a bit crazy and had two desserts, a zimtkäsekuchen, who was one of the best desserts I ever had, and a beautiful chocolate mousse. on the bottom my type had the Sunday roast, which was a waste of time."
