"Our visit was for our daughters birthday. The hotel was attractive and the staff very attentive and friendly. I had booked a week ago and was a little surprised that they were not expecting us and had to set a table for four people, however they apologised and swiftly seated us. We had the room to ourselves and the staff took our orders, the service was very efficient. The starters were fine but unfortunately the mains were very disappointing. The men enjoyed their meal of pork belly but my daughter and myself had the steak which were very unpleasant, mainly because they were burnt on the outside and raw on the inside, we had ordered medium steaks. The staff very kindly offered to only charge us for one of the steak meals and gave us complimentary coffees because it was my daughters birthday. As this was our first visit i would hope that this was an off day, it didn’t spoil my daughters birthday as the staff were so good."

"We have visited the Farmers Arms many times over the past few years party of 4) and the standards are getting worse on a weekly basis. The condition of the restaurant both externally and internally is very poor and the men's toilets not seen the ladies) is disgusting with constant leaks in various areas including cubicles and generally very very tatty. The food quality is not good and at peak times they keep running out of food in the self service area. The staff are generally friendly but there doesn't seem enough of them to ensure customers get a good service. The company has let the property fall into disrepair which is such a shame as it is in a nice area. If it doesn't address these problems soon it will lose a lot of customers"

"I and the woman heard that there was a new menu and thought we would try. it was great that I had buttermilkburger and the good lady had the kebab. the burger was fresh huh and the kebab was amazing. the personal was excellent and. we were for the quiz that was brilliant and a great date out at night."

"Our first visit since lindsay took over. We used to come regularly when Michael was here but after closure and the first re opening we have not visited. We came with a friend and our 3 dogs , the lunch menu looked great but we asked if any specials were on. After checking in kiitchen my hunt had sea bass and king prawns. It was beautiful. Hassel back potatoes and the trimmings. I had the chichen supreme with black pudding and medley of veg etc and our friend had chicken bacon ciabbata with fries etc . I can honestly say it was the best pub meal we have had in ages. Thanking you so much . The staff were lovely , helpful and attentive. It was a pleasure to meet lindsay too. We will be back soon ."
