"Visiting this lovely establishment on a whim with my partner. We arrived early and decided to have a drink in the bar. Very prompt service! After our drink we were escorted to our table and proceeded to order. We had the arancini and beans on toast to start. Where do I begin? I should imagine they have managed to obtain the Heinz recipe because it was simply incredible. So flavoursome and a beautiful amount of smokiness. Now for the main event, we had the pork belly scallops and the penang cod curry and OMG what an amazing couple of dishes they were! Scallops were incredible! The house made noodles were to die for! I am simply in awe with this establishment. What a transformation this public house has had. Thank you to the Kitchen team and Dean for a wonderful evening, I cannot wait to dine again"

"Décor was good and so was initial service but then waited at least 30mins for starters. Once this arrived I have to say it was very tasty. It wasn't such a long wait for main meal but I had asked for medium cooked steak and it arrived well done. My husbands rack of ribs although meaty lacked flavour and both our chunky chips could have done with a little more cooking. If the price had been a little better we may be tempted to go back as everyone working there were very pleasant but having visited other restaurants in the area who provide a higher quality meal for a lesser price I think we shall decide against it"

"Some of the best pub food I've had for a long time. everything was made on the ground home (we have asked and can say) a Propa-burger with a really good balance of taste with the fillings. beautiful crisp thick chips. chicken kiew was moist and full of taste the personal was very friendly and attentive all had a perfect lunchtime and will definitely return. if they are looking for a traditional country pub with home cooked diners through a hot fire with a pint, then this is their place."

"We had Sunday lunch here today and it was really lovely. The rarebit tart as a starter was very tasty, and the roast beef dinner was excellent……the beef was pink, soft and tender. Veg was lovely and a good selection. Special mention for the gravy which was fabulous ..we asked for more it was so good! We took our young labrador with us and sat outside, but could have sat in if we’d have wanted to….so the pub is very dog friendly. The manager was chatty and very friendly and the young lad serving was just as nice. They were both attentive but not overbearing which was great. All in all a very good experience and we will definitely go again."
