"I dropped on for the second time in a week and enjoyed both visits. It’s the freshest food of the several Vn places I’ve tried in the inner north. Flavours authentic and portions good and price is average. The ambiance is a little flat but...I came to eat good food so they scored well on that front."

"Got takeaway from here last night. The fried rice was the best I've had in a long time and the soy beef was delicious. Satay tofu was also really good and I usually don't like silken tofu. It did take a little while for the order to arrive, we ordered online and came to pickup and we don't think they started cooking the food until we had arrived but it was well worth the wait."

"This was a very mixed food highlight that was the steaks, especially the rib eye; the paella was good, but where was this signature crust? we had different tapas that were a mix of good, although the jamon croquetta was more like a tuna rispo. perhaps only the preference of the cook for the usual freche smokey joy. long island icestee were very weak disappointing, sangria was good, other cocktails good service was very good. I would try again if someone invited us. I had expected more when so many talked about it."

"I was recommended Black Fire a couple of years ago by a South American friend. I think it's lost some of that wowness of a new restaurant but it's still pretty decent. This franchise is along the same vein as Meat Wine Co. I wouldn't call it fine dining, it's probably a very nice mid range place though. The portion sizes are fairly big, the staff are prompt and attentive and it's good value for money. Ppl giving this restaurant a 3 are too harsh. Entrées: House bread: What were you supposed to pour the oil into? It didn't really come with a dipping saucer. They had butter as well as oil... But no balsamic vinegar. Oysters: small size, good taste Prawns: Large, flavourful, amazing sauce. Octopus: Good amount, good taste. Came with avocado puree, onions, roasted peppers.. Very more-ish. Mains: meat v good. Dessert: large size but a let down. When asked to describe the dessert, the waitress just read about 30% of the printed description on the menu. It was supposed to be cheesecake and loosely resembled a deconstructed one, but didn't taste like one. The big roll of chocolate fondant was surprisingly good. It is World Chocolate Day July 7) so it's befitting to eat a big hunk of chocolate today. Drink: lychee mocktail good."
