"I loved almost everything about this place, quality food, fast service, complementary tea for everyone, reasonable prices.There were only two things that could be considered to improve when we entered the place the floor was so slippery that we felt like we were on ice rink (I guess it only happens when it’s wet outside and you come in with wet shoes) serving a hot tea from a plastic jar is not a good idea I guessAnyway this would be my favourite sushi place for now"

"Isami Sushi is a hidden gem in Burnaby. With an address on Kingsway, you wouldn’t be faulted for not noticing it… especially since the storefront is actually located on McKay Street. Apparently, it’s not as hidden as I thought because it was fairly busy during my first weekday lunch. Fortunately, the interior is rather large so I didn’t have trouble getting a seat (I actually sat at the sushi bar so I could see them prepping the sushi)."

"I found out about Sushi Modo through my friend @jershauneats (you should follow them on IG). I saw a pic of their aburi oshi and I was sold. . We came here without a huge appetite so we ordered three things:. 1. Crazy Salmon Roll this was really good. the rice was deep fried with imitation crab in the middle and a salmon on top with sauce over it."

"We’re big fans of Take Sushi, located on Hastings Street in North Burnaby. I don’t think we’ve ever had anything bad here before.<br/ <br/ One of their more popular dishes is the Tuna and Mango Salad mixed with avocado and cucumber. The avocado was perfectly ripe and the sauce really brings out the flavours of the fresh tuna and mango chunks. I actually prefer how they used to serve this on a glass plate instead of a white oval bowl.<br/ <br/ We ordered some nigiri to go with our meal: Tamago, Unagi, Toro, and Chopped Scallop… again, all well-prepared.<br/ <br/ The Spicy Agedashi Tofu are rather large with a crisp outer layer protecting the tofu on the inside. All of it is covered with their dreamy hot sauce which is more tangy than it is pungently hot.<br/ <br/ We were already pretty full before the Nabenyaki Udon arrived but we just had to finish off the silky smooth udon noodles.<br/ <br/ And, of course, one of my favourites is the Grilled Salmon Belly. I know it might seem excessively fatty and oily but I figure I spend enough on fish oil pills that I might as well enjoy the salmon belly."

"Was surprised to have decent sushi here. I liked how the rolls had a good rice to fish ratio. Pretty fresh and i enjoyed the toro sashimi and cali rolls. <br/>Looking forward to trying the special rolls next time."

"2 of our 4 rolls were supposed to have proteins that were listed ingredients on the menu, but in the actual rolls... didn't exist.The roll that included salmon was a tiny sliver only appearing in 1/4 of the roll and the ones with multiple items only one was found.Each roll was over 10$ to not have all ingredients... and I saved them money by ordering without tobiko on any and all...Deep fried California roll was only rice and avocado, no crab meat whatsoever.Will not be disappointed twice."
