"Great food and service.Things I don't like(or they could have been better):1. Their official website is not updated, the list price was 30% less than the current price. I am fine with price increase due the inflation is everywhere, but at least they should keep the information updated2. The manager didn't let us know in advance that if we order $150 more, they will give out a dish for free, we ended up with packing a lot of food"

"Fortune House Seafood Restaurant often gets discounted because it’s located in Metrotown and, let’s be honest, the lineup here can get rather discouraging during the peak dim sum hours.<br/ <br/ Since we live nearby and we wanted some dim sum before heading out for a quick run to the border, we popped over to Fortune House. They open at 9am on the weekend so we managed to find a table rather easily.<br/ <br/ We started out with an order of Deep Fried Taro Dumplings. The deep fried exterior was pleasantly contrasted with the creamy inside filling.<br/ <br/ Har Gow is a standard dim sum dish and I found Fortune House’s version to be pretty good. Actually, all of the dim sum dishes that I tried on this visit were all pretty solid.<br/ <br/ I find that one of the things that I really enjoy about the Chinese Donut Rice Roll is how the velvety smooth rice roll contrasts with the crunchy donut on the inside.<br/ <br/ Steamed beef omasum is probably not one of the dishes that most westerners would eagerly be willing to try. But if you’ve never tried it before, you should definitely give it a whirl. By itself, it’s fairly flavourless… which is why the proper accompanying sauce is important.<br/ <br/ Steamed Beef Balls is another one of our go-to dim sum dishes.<br/ <br/ Last up on this visit was the Mini Egg Tarts. They were appropriately served last as they were freshly baked and still warm. I love how there were so many delicate, flaky layers to the crust.<br/ <br/ Overall, I thought the food was fairly well prepared and, because we came by so early, we didn’t have to wait."

"Trying this place for the first time with my friend CK looks like we stepped into the twilight zone this restaurant seems out of place in this dingy mall we ordered Steamed bbq pork bun,Deep fried Taro,Chicken Feet in Beam Sauce,Deep Fried Shrimp Roll,Steamed Pork Shi Mai and Har Gow the food was delicious the service was very attentive with a smile i would recommend this place please take note this place gets extremely busy"

"I WISH I COULD RATE IT ZERO STARS!!!This is the most frustrating experience I have had so far.I was shocked to find out that a 12% gratuity was compulsory. I believe that tipping should be a voluntary expression of gratitude for exceptional service, and not something that is forced upon customers. I attempted to pay an 8 dollar tip for my 84 dollar meal, which I believe is a fair amount given the average quality of the food and service. However, I was met with hostility from the waitress who became angry and accused me of being STINGY and sitting there for the entire day (when I had only been there for 2 hours).The waitress spoke to me in Cantonese and made the following statement: 「有無搞錯呀！俾8蚊，10%都無呀，仲要坐成日，你哋咁小器嘅。」(In translation: Are you kidding me? Only giving $8 and no 10% tip? And you 've been sitting here all day. You 're so stingy )I found this behavior to be completely unacceptable and unprofessional. As a customer, I have the right to decide whether or not to leave a tip, and I should not be made to feel guilty or attacked for making that decision. This kind of behavior is disrespectful and reflects poorly on your restaurant.In the end, to avoid further confrontation, I gave a 12% tip. However, the waitress 's attitude remained extremely poor, even after I had given a tip.I will not be returning to this restaurant in the future. This experience has left me extremely angry and I am willing to take the time to leave a review on Google to share my experience with others."
