"Highly recommend this restaurant. Went for lunch where the lunch special includes either a small soup or dessert. We had the Steinpilz Ravioli which was excellent, nice light sauce with vegetables and a good portion of pasta. Service was friendly. Would definitely visit this restaurant again, as it is centrally located (in the Frühling Hotel) at the Bankplatz, and the service and caliber of food is excellent."

"We ordered two small milkshakes and a vanilla white cheese desert (quark) with strawberries. The milkshakes were alright but quite expensive (2,70 Euros). The banana milkshake was a little bit too thick and the vanilla shake too thin. But they had some flavor. This didn't...count for the quark. It didn't have any vanilla flavor at all and there were just some two or three strawberries (in pieces) above. After our complaint the waitress brought it back to the kitchen. After a while she came back and told us that she couldn't take it back because we had tried it! We asked how we could find out the taste if we wouldn't try. I told her that we had ordered this quark with vanilla flavor and since it didn't have such flavor we would not pay for it. Finally and after asking again the kitchen chef she took the quark back. I think that this is not the right manner to treat the customers. If the quality of the offered food is not as it should be a restaurant or café should not try to blame the customers."

"The Alex is more if a cafe and not a restaurant. Simple food quickly prepared to fill someone’s stomach. Not that it was bad and for sure pkay for the kids but not for serious eating : At least a good place to observe the entertaining crowd in BS."

"Wunderbarer Kuchen in urigem Ambiente, leckere Süßspeisen! Der Service ist durchwachsen, da hier viele studentische Aushilfen arbeiten. Diese machen ihre Sache ordentlich, kommen allerdings schnell an ihre Grenzen. Der Apfelstrudel ist sehr lecker!"
