"Lovely staff, girl on the street showed us the menu and was not one bit pushy. The waiter was very kind as well. Food was ok. Not bad but nothing outstanding, One thing that put us off was we were in the porch area and there was customers smoking. This is completely alien to my kids so they felt ill from the smell. Not the resturaunts fault but something for customers to be aware of."

"The shuttle bus driver told us about Fogo de Chao on the way from the airport to Praia da Rocha. We arrived at this restaurant and were warmly greeted and seated even though they were so busy. This buffet style restaurant with an open view kitchen is spotless and the staff were so professional, positive and friendly. The buffet experience my wife and I had was unreal. A huge selection on the buffet platters with waiters bringing all kinds of meat to the table on giant skewers which they cut straight to our plates, rib beef, smoked ham, fillet steak, excellent pork sausage and much more, all you can eat. The house wine was some of the best we have had. Thanks Fogo de Chao"

"This place looks a little strange. more like a canteen in a factory. it is a self-service restaurant with limited choice, but eating is surprisingly good and the prices are low. they can choose fish or meat - this is fresh and grilled before them. Rice/potatoes cooked vegetables. it is a full plate eating for 6 7 eur."

"This restaurant is a bit from the way of the main area of alvor, but it is definitiw the trip worth. the staff are friendly and helpful, advise us well how much to order. we had a pretty choice, each dish was well presented and very tasty. it with a beautiful bottle of red wine from the local opposite wash off. on par and perhaps better than other tapas-based restaurants in the environment, a great addition to our available restaurants."
