"Terrible service and only 1 server. There were several tables. We came in and no one sat or addressed/ welcomed us. No smile, no Hellos. We asked the bartender if we sat down, he said yes. After 20 minutes no one waited to get an order. On the far side of the restaurant is a grill, so we thought we should go to the grill itself and order - but the man Grill said no, someone should take our order. We flew the 1 man down, and I said we're here near 30 minutes, you can take our order. Finally he came by and we ordered 3 burgers with frits. But of course, to get drinks, water-anything was always a 20-minute procedure! It's hard to enjoy your food when you have to get up constantly, or your children get up and find the waiter!! Bartender was just rude. Here's the sad part... the burgers were AMAZING! But for the bad SLOW service and IGNORED, I will not return!! I have many American dollars and will spend them elsewhere - maybe in Callejon over the street!!! I was in Westin from 4-19 thru 4-23. All reception and administration as well as the Cascada staff must be retrained in the manner of customer service! A. Texeira"

"Our family came to stay at Casa Velas (6 adults) for a week and have enjoyed our stay at this 4 star resort. The front of house staff were all professional and went out of their way to ensure that our stay was enjoyable. However, Emiliano's, the resorts only restaurant, was a disappointment on several occasions and numerous dishes. Our expectation was 4 star and our experience fell far short. The staff tried to accommodate us during our meals but fell short on execution. I'll start by pointing out service issues: waiting 10 minutes for menu's or water, waiting 10 minutes before my empty wine glass was refilled during dinner, forgetting my cappuccino when the rest of my party received theirs (it never came), long delays for requested items.The food also fell well below the 4 star hotel rating: raw lamb chops that were supposed to be medium, numerous dishes that simply lacked taste and were mediocre at best, long wait times for courses to be served, We spoke to other guests that also experienced the same lackluster dinners.For a resort that consistently performed at a high level daily, it is unfortunate that the sole restaurant could not keep up with the standards set.I've read many of the positive reviews on Emiliano's and can only gather that the difference is in expectations. I travel at a 4 & 5 star level and that is what I expect. Casa Velas was 4 star and Emiliano's was 2.5 at best. Perhaps this that were enamored with this restaurant have different expectations."

"No menu and no prices but no problem. Bruce nd his wife Julia are so engaging and entertaining the evening flew by. The food, ostrich,tuna, and buffalo was superb. Julia's desserts were soooo tasty. YaYa,our hostess, was very charming and fixed some wonderful drinks. We will be there again next year."

"The restaurant is very comfortable and the food was amazing. The owner himself served us and made recommendations based off what we liked. I had a beef dish and the owner gave me the history of the dish, where the influencers came from and the spices used. The mango salad was unlike any I had before. Definitely a must when in Puerto Vallarta!"

"We were looking for a seafood restaurant our last night and stumbled upon Polo’s, and couldn’t have ended our trip on a better note. Drinks were fantastic, the mussel appetizer is a must have, and the seafood entrees were everything we were hoping for with...a variety of lobster, scallops, and shrimp. Can’t wait to come back next time we are in PV!"

"We enjoyed dinner at this restaurant while staying at hotel mousai. The steak was good, the potatoes were awesome, and the view was great! We tried the dessert tree and struggled to find a few bites we liked. The servers were wonderful!"
