"When you are visiting a new area for the first time and friends who are on the trip with you rely on you to find interesting places to eat that is when the challenge starts. Just before you get into the popular tourist resort of Hebden Bridge on the road from Halifax is a place with a weird sounding name Mytholmroyd. But look out for the Bar and Tapas a bright facade and there you will find one of the best tapas bars for miles around. You are given a large paper menu and just tick the huge variety of tapas you would like to taste. We had between four of us and it was just about the right amount. Try the slow cooked shredded lamb and the Shetland king scallops in particular. There is also a veg paella and a fish curry also worth trying. Service was excellent and the owner, who has been there ten years, was particularly welcoming and helpful."

"Visited for the first time around lunch hour. For my starter I got the smoked salmon parcel (filled with soft cheese and capers), my main was a primavera pizza (vegetarian option). Food was delicious and the view from the window side of the restaurant was beautiful on that sunny day. They do 10% NHS discount which is always lovely to receive. Waiters were excellent at their job, checking up on us regularly. The toilets are clean and well maintained. I would go back here."

"Awful. The fish AND the chips were reheated from the night before or maybe the week before? . The peas were not cooked and not mushy. Inedible. It went in the bin Like the previous review said, I can see why the shop was empty. They may have taken my money today, but I won’t fall for it again."

"A decent menu served well, although like other reviews slightly slow service, but not as bad as some reviews have suggested. Easy Parking across the road note, free on Sundays).
