"Went for breakfast while in the area on vacation. Staff was friendly and the food was good. We both had the lobster eggs benedict which was to die for! Plenty of lobster, great sauce, eggs done right, side home fries (you won't go hungry getting it). The only issue? Price, i guess? In all fairness we did order lobster and the bill came to just over $60 before tip. Pretty step for breakfast but if your willing to spend you won't be disappointed with the food."

"I stayed at the castle Rock Inn and had dinner twice at their restaurant, Avalon. It was off season and the menu was limited but the food was excellent. I stuck with the seafood as the ocean view in the background would indicate a local catch. I had the haddock filet the first night and the seafood sampler the second night. Both were presented well and obviously fresh. The highlight may have been the chowder which had plenty of shrimp and scallops in it. All in all, great food at an incredible location!"

"Incredibly slow service but sitting next to the floor to ceiling windows with that view, made up for it. We enjoyed a quiet sit down lunch of fish and chips and mussels. All good, reasonably priced and yummy."

"It’s a good inn at a good price. The rooms are as described, they are quiet. The staff is helpful. When we booked there was a claim of a restaurant and bar. There were neither. Breakfast was available. There was a promise of wifi it was erratic at best, often off, and the explanations changed every time. Having visited, I get it, that this is very rural and service is erratic but then explain that (as they should’ve done the restaurant) on the site. There was no effort to compensate or make good on the lack of services because where else can you really go? Rooms: As described. Clean. Quiet. Nearby activities: Lots of nature and the Cabot trail. Walkability: Nothing near to walk to. Car is required. Food drinks: Not available. Breakfast only."
