"Looking for an authentic Italian Restaurant and tried Sutton's. We got an Italian sub, linguine with alfredo and added vegetables, and chicken strips. Everything was truly excellent and flavorful. We were disappointed that there was no bread offered while we waited for our food, no crayons for the kids menu and no offers to refill our drinks the whole time we were there. Those things soured us a bit on the service and atmosphere. Other than that, we would like to return and try more on the menu. By the way, the freshly ground parmesean was the best I ever had!Vegetarian options: Make your own pasta with choice of vegetables and sauces"

"Absolutely the best food and friendly service of almost any restaurant! my son has the cancer and the shrimp glue. it was a lot of food, plus two sides. my man got a huge dish of garnel and gänsen, which were incredibly tasteful. there was enough for two meals. I have the scallops with salate and okra. so good! the salad was so fresh and also a good size. we have chesapeake oysters and fried banana rings for starters and it was more than enough that three of us share. we look forward to a visit next time in lexington!"

"This was my first visit to Haywood's. I have been excited to dine there after passing by the restaurant many times. The restaurant itself is cozy and intimate. They had live music that was pleasant to enjoy while dining. We had made reservations and were seated next to the bar. Very comfortable seating away from the cold! Dinner was delicious and the steak cooked just as we asked. If my review was based just on the above, I would have left a 5 star review. However, service was very lackluster. The waiter was very energetic when he greeted us but after our drink orders were taken, it went downhill from there. I feel as though we were completely forgotten about and not because he was too busy. I say that because he was seen at the bar talking to other staff, too loudly as he was told to be quiet by a coworker, making cocktails any thing but asking if we would like more bread, more water, clearing our plates after finishing entree, etc. I enjoy a long dining experience, however I do not like to have long conversations over food plates that should have been cleared over 20 minutes ago. I will go back as the food was good and maybe I will be lucky to have a different server."
