"Stayed nights at Limestone Hotel at Lulworth Cove and overall enjoyed our stay and were lucky with the weather. Staff were mainly friendly and the food was good at both dinner and breakfast. We found our room (Library) rather small with no chair and...the bathroom was also small with a shower cubicle which we found difficult with washing ones self being so small.. The water pressure was good and plenty of hot water. Bed was comfortable and everything else was ok for a short stay. Each room had its own parking space although it could be difficult for those with large cars. Tables were spaced out due to Covid and everybody observed the current rules. We were aware that we were booking one of the smaller rooms and priced at b&b we were quite happy."

"My girlfriend and I arrived in West Lulworth early evening on Friday 3rd July and decided to have a drink and something to eat. We first went to Bishops see separate review), the bar at Bishops Cottage who recommended their sister restaurant “Pebbles” at The Lulworth) Beach Hotel next door. We were shown to a table by the window by a charmless guy who we later discovered was the manager. We ordered a bottle of wine which he surprisingly brought to the table already opened and just left it to us to pour. Our starters were Devils on Horseback scallops wrapped in bacon) which were delicious. My girlfriend then had the lamb cutlets and I, the wild boar sausage and mash, which after the starter were a little disappointing considering their prices. We then had a chocolate brownie and a coffee between us and this is when the manager’s character shone through. In both our opinions, the brownie tasted burnt and so we did not finish it, asking for it to be taken off the bill. The manager came over and said that he had tasted it and it was ‘fine and not overdone’. When I pointed out that to us it seemed more than overdone, i.e. burnt, his reply was ‘well, that’s the way it comes’! We paid the bill in full £74) and left. As someone who has worked both in restaurants and corporate Customer Service environments over the years, I feel justified in saying that I suspect this establishment only keeps going by relying on the hapless tourists who stubble upon them for the first time! Shame that we had not previously read the reviews or been to our BB before eating, as both would have warned us of what to expect……."

"Need somewhere to eat in Swanage late evening and came across this place .Family run Italian lots of closely positioned tables so a bit Noisy .Food was excellent reasonably priced and beautifully cooked."

"Stopped here for lunch after paddle boarding at Lulworth Cove. Was really looking forward to some nice food before heading on the long journey back home. Unfortunately lunch was just okay. My partner had the crab sandwich which she said was nice, but my halloumi burger was a bit of a let down. The portion was huge served in two Gf burger buns, which was too much bread for me. It was a bit off putting. The halloumi in the burger was really tough and chewy. I love halloumi but I think this was way over cooked. It was also served in the bun with chilli jam and cucumber which just wasn’t to my taste. Love chilli jam, but the cucumber had done all squish and it wasn’t nice. I picked that out. Fries were good but did came out a bit cold. All in all just okay."
