"Four of us gathered at Tommy's for a farewell to a couple moving interstate. What a little gem in Glebe this place is! The room we sat in was decorated in an eclectic and charming pub style way; loved it.If you're a serious beer drinkers/taster you really need to try some of their unusual European beers. The 3 lads had a ball with the beers while I stuck to cocktails - which, by the way, were very well made.We started with nibbles such as pretzels and pork crackling, and I could have spent the rest of the night nibbling on more crackling but there were other delicious dishes to try.The 3 guys each had the Mixed Sausage Platter and all 3 raved about it. I tried the potato pancakes with horseradish cream - tasty; and then some traditional smoked cheese. The cheese was delicious albeit quite rich after everything else I had eaten!A couple close to our table recommended the pork knuckle, but there is only so much good food one can eat at a time.WE WILL BE BACK!"

"Booker T and the MGs is flooding the cosy courtyard of The Record Crate, where I’m surrounded by colourful randomness: Astroturf, beer keg tables, Hendrix posters, a hula hoop and a rather baffling chunk of concrete. This might be an echo of the bar’s hybrid nature – the Crate is actually a bar, restaurant, café, record shop and live music venue. The food is simple and generous, and owner Neville waves to me from the kitchen while making my Slow Roasted Pork Belly $20). The Crate isn’t designed to be a cocktail bar, and my Old Fashioned $16) isn’t impressive, so I stick to the tasty house brew: Uncle Joe’s Pale Ale $8), and then enjoy a glass of peppery shiraz from Two Thumbs $8). It feels like the bar is still working itself out, but the chilled atmosphere and excellent music mean that my one glass of wine has somehow turned into four, and I’m still happily ensconced in the courtyard hours later."

"As you walk in you expect a certain expectation for the food. The food were unflavoured and plain and rather overpriced. Nothing wow. The service wasn't that good and generally speaking these sorts of establishments usually have an okay service but not this place"

"Yes, they speak Polish. We had the bigos, golabki, and Zywiec. Reservations are recommended, but they took us as we came in early."

"The schnitzel in my roll was juicy with a crunchy exterior much better than typical sandwich shop schnitzels and massively better than the small scrawny pieces offered by the similar concept German Schnitzel Haus in the Suncorp Centre. The roll was packed out well with salad, although I got one of the spicy options and it would barely rate as mild , plus the roll got soggy quickly (it did not seem to be toasted like the menu said it would be). Then there 's the service. It 's hard to find staff at the front counter, they 're pretty surly when they arrive, it takes 15 minutes to get your roll, and they were dealing with a delivery and throwing boxes around making a terrible racket. ...read more"

"My favourite cafe of all time! My mum used to take me here as a kid and 20 years later, it's still the spot! Hands down the best brewed chai in Sydney, no contest. Delicious vegetarian menu, heaps of variety, everything super yummo. Can't wait for you guys to open back up again! Xxx"

"This place has a very nice atmosphere. The staff are good and always helpful. Even the customers all have a care free attitude all the while enjoying themselves. All age types go there, but with the majority are a younger crowd, like UNI students backpackers. The whole place is decked out with an assortment of pictures, historic photos and and other things such as dressed up manequins, nick nacks and even a train that goes around above the bar. There is a smoking area, bistro, ATM, betting services and poker machines. There are different types of enteraiment on most nights, such as live music. But on each last Wednesday of each month they have Hermit Crab races. The building itself is an historic style establishment on a corner, with the pub having 2 floors and 3 bar areas. Upstairs they also have 2 x Pool Tables, 1 × Table Tennis Table 1 x Pinball Machine. (Will find the internal closed off room for smoking). Would recommend this place for anyone wanting to go somewhere for a new experience unlike some of other generic pubs around Sydney. Loved the place."
