"Still a great restaurant! We come every year to Aix and there are always changes but la Buchee is still one of the very best. It may be situated in a unattractive alley but never mind. The food is terrific. We shared a vegetable tart that was divine followed by filet of sea bream with ratatouille rather that the fennel. Absolutely wonderful. Then there is the lemon tart. As a lemon tart expert I firmly believe this is a plus 10. Fabulous!!!!"

"Passing to Aix with two friends, we stop in this restaurant whose terrace overlooks a pretty fountain. The fast and high-quality service has conquered us, but it was nothing compared to the quality of the pizza we had chosen. And as a bonus, a assortment of dessert and digestives were offered to us. I recommend 1000%! Thanks again to the adorable servers."

"During the past decade that I have been coming to Aix for work, this restaurant has become one of my favorites. The menu is seasonal, creative and vegetarian/vegan friendly. However, tonight the lady who was serving me was not nice. First, before choosing the wine, I asked if I can taste her suggestion. Her answer was a very strong NO! Then when I went to the bar to pay, I asked the gentleman to give me two different receipts because of issues related ro reimbursement. I have been in France long enough to know what is possible and what isn’t. So while I am explaining to the gentleman behind the bar (we are speaking in French), the same lady comes and interrupts us in English with another NO! I found this behavior extremely rude. When I tried to explain how other restaurants did it, she said “we are not everybody”! Perhaps this lady should learn that good food isn’t everything. Manners and respect are part of her job too. I am not returning to this place."
