Made reservation for mid-week lunch, no problem getting a reservation. Easy to find right around the corner from our favorite bakery. Rather small menu but well chosen items that were fresh, local and beautifully presented. there were three of us; we ordered an vegetable risotto and the cod [2X]as our main dishes preceded by an asparagus starter which was outstanding. The waitress was very good [knowledgeable, profes... View all feedback.
What Karson Schroeder doesn't like about L'Alcove:

Charming and delicious! This was my 5th or 6th visit, and I can't wait to go back! The menu is not extensive, but everything is well prepared. The service is unpretentious and pleasant.
Lovely restaurant in Aix away from the many tourist traps. The food was delicious, very traditional with a small menu. Service was great too, would definitely recommend.
My friend and I celebrated her birthday here with a cozy and delicious dinner. The waitress that served us was friendly and kind. Desserts were delicious! Would recommend for those looking for a quiet dinner in Aix en Provence.
We had our last dinner in Aix at this cute little place. It is understated and out of the way, the food exceptional and the service super friendly. If you are in Aix I would make a time to eat at L'Alcove. Best to get a reservation as I think it seats less than 20 people. The woman who runs the front of the house works tirelessly and is exceptionally welcoming and friendly. She recommended some great wine. The food we had from starters to dessert was perfectly prepared and delicious. It beat the nice places we ate at in Paris. The price of a meal was more than fair, especially for the quality of the food. If I ever go back to Aix I will be eating at L'Alcove for sure.
Off the beaten track, lovely little restaurant, off tourists maps , serving. Very nice local dishes . Great service by a very nice waitress. Great value for money , 3 course menu was 35 euros. A few outdoor tables on a quiet street are available in the summer. Really enjoyed it.
