"Positive is location and lovely staff. Negative is the pool area and dining area. Needs a major refurbishment. Dressing room was very dirty and overall it’s not up to standard. Rooms are fine. Food was only ok, had curry, was only just ok with horrible shop bought naan bread, shame when you think homemade naan bread can be done with 2 ingredients. Also I personally found the bar/dining area so cold and not inviting. The lighting is terrible. All in all. Very disappointing as it has huge potential. Even the entrance could do with a deep clean."

"In the evening we found that the restaurant had a mild and unpleasant odor like a methane or water odor. it wasn't exaggerated, but it was a distraction. the restaurant staff was very pleasant when a little inexperienced. the bar and restaurant lacked atmosphere that would have been easily fixed by a few candles on each table. the architecture is modern married to old stone storage arches that look good, but a few soft furniture would not go amiss. the menu was disappointing and unimaginative, and what they would expect in an upscale gastro powder instead of eating fine. overall we were disappointed and would not return in a hurry."

"As an Indian we have eaten all friends on our trip to co. mayo in the airbnb, which was far from the city, according to delicious Indian food. our demand was met by restaurant bisini. eating was pretty good. the manager of the restaurant was so friendly to supply it to us kms in the late night. I would definitely recommend this restaurant on your trip to mayo ballina."

"We were staying in The Ice House Hotel and booked her for dinner. Jason and Vincent both were chatty and friendly. I had a sirloin and my husband had rack of lamb. Both were very nice. Dessert was good also. There were two men singing and it was a lovely way to spend an evening"

"The Brosna Restaurant is the Twin Trees Hotel (formerly the Downhill Hotel) located at Downhill Road just off the Ballina Sligo Road. It is located in wonderfully peacefull surroundings with splendid views overlooking the Brosna River and mini waterfalls. The restaurant is comfortable and the...atmosphere is pleasant and relaxing. We went there for Sunday lunch. It was a traditional course lunch served between and pm. The food was simply delicious and the service was friendly and attentive. It was all very relaxed and enjoyable."
