"We had the bruchetta and eggplant chips, fresh and full of flavour. Fed the both of us for lunch with a couple of glasses of house wine. Smiling, happy and helpful staff in a great location. Will go back if we get the time."

"I've been to Pho Tam a number of times now and have had three varieties of their noodle soups and each have been simply outstanding. This is a very simple place mostly frequented by local Australian Vietnamese and the odd student from VU and other workers in the area. I can't speak for any of the foods but if you want a noodle soup I think it is difficult to beat."

"Not all ramen are created equal! I have had a lot of ramen and this place has one of the best broth by far. It has a wonderful flavor without the intensity that some has that is almost over-powering. The noodles are equally beautiful. One of the best thing about this place is it is open 24 hours! Love the Tokyo izakaya feel and look of the place.Great alternative place to go for a healthy late night feed."

"We go to Hem every week have been doing that for nearly months sometimes take away sometimes eat in. We love it normally every thing all the other reviewers mention. Tonight was so different I asked if it had changed hands?...Rude unfriendly service and the food was awful. My daughter’s Pho had no vegtables at all and even though i asked for extra veggies I got half what I normally get. If we get Pho and service like this again we won’t be back disappointing"

"With absolutely no venue in mind I trotted down Smith St on a Monday evening, looking to be inspired. As there’s a predominance of Eastern restaurants, I began to look forward to that being the flavour of the night. I looked at a few menus...but was drawn into Shop Ramen by the number of people waiting for spaces to become available. As I was flying solo so I wasn’t waiting too long. Pork Belly Ramen ordered and I was in a good place observing friends and couples talk and laugh about whatever they’d been doing/where going to do. A great atmosphere! My food arrived and it was delicious!! The pork was really tender, a great selection of mushroom types and noodles that were still a little firm leaving no doubt that the dish had been freshly prepared. 10 out of 10, Bravo chef!"
