"We went there while visiting Toronto. The manager and waiter offered an excellent service. My boyfriend took oysters. They were a little bit small but they were good. I took a ceasar salad. My boyfriend then took a rack of lamb and I took musset. Everything was very tasteful. Even if there was no kid's menu, they made a small plate of pasta for my 2 year-old. I will come back for sure!"

"I've been there several times and the food has always been great. Last week I went again we both had the smoked breast of duck a l'orange. It was more like ham than duck - the outer pieces were overdone and tough and the smoke overshadowed the orange sauce. We were so disappointed. In the past I've had their braised duckling and it was melt in your mouth delicious. Wish they'd bring that back. The vegetables were good but the mashed potatoes could have been warmer. We ate about 8:15 - the place was fairly quiet - maybe we got the leftovers. The wait staff was wonderful and especially patient taking pictures of us as I had an out of town guest. The atmosphere can't be beat - quiet elegance - and that's what will bring me back. The sea food dishes have always been wonderful. BTY - still finding cottage cheese on the complimentary appetizer tray unusual and this time the garlic toast was limp and fairly garlic-less ! Maybe the chef was having an off night."

"This is the second time in the last two months I went to Cafe California. Every time the service was great and the food above expectation.The soup du jour was delicious as well the Tiger shrimps.The Filet minion was cooked as requested and to perfection same with the butter chicken. Finally the desert was heavenly prepared the cheese cake was perfect as well as the creme Caramel.Great dinner with my best other half..."
