"I love stir fry and so dropped at the restaurant for lunch. Some of the ingredients were not fresh particularly onion had a stale smell and sweet potato was not fresh. The taste was not so great."

"We got in late to Halifax and this was right around the corner. They have a great selection of local beer, and some of their own. We both had delicious pasta dishes, lobster carbonara and scallop and shrimp fettuccini. Both delicious! This menu has much more than your average pub food. Check it out for the food and the beer! Very attentive staff, friendly and helpful."

"The service was incredible, kind, entertaining and helpful. The food was great overall, I found the pasta a touch salty but otherwise delicious. It’s an excellent place for a delicious Italian meal without having to fight for a seat by the boardwalk."

"I would like to keep information about Agora to myself so that it won't be crowded the next time I return - however - everyone deserves the opportunity to experience this wonderful little oasis on Agricola Street.I was looking for an change from Tim's for a morning coffee and snack. What a change Agora was ! Small, very clean, wooden floors and furniture, natural lighting, lots of colourful artwork on one wall complemented by fresh flowers on the tables. The owner is incredibly friendly and welcoming, as was an employee outside wiping down tables and ensuring the cleanliness standards from inside were maintained outside. As it was mid morning, I opted for a Turkish coffee and a blueberry scone. I had never had this coffee before so am unable to comment on quality - somewhat like espresso.The scone was fresh, served warmed and had sprinkling of icing sugar as a nice touch. I will definitely be back to indulge in some of their vegetarian options.There is a great patio at the back that would be a perfect place to spend a warm summer evening."

"Although we were there as a family, the comments are about my terrible, expensive brunch! I ordered the scramble bowl with scrambled eggs. It was a plate, not a bowl I received. The salad was fresh but the dressing was terrible! The eggs were some...of the worst looking eggs I ever saw. The bread was advertised as sourdough; they forgot to type in the word, spelt, before sourdough. The worst bread I ever tasted! The only thing so good were the fried potatoes. The reason I said so good was that they mingled with the terrible salad dressing! This is the lowest rating I ever gave any restaurant about its food!"

"This restaurant serves the best dumplings I have probably have ever had. The food was to die for but unfortunately The restaurant is poorly ventilated and when we walked out, we smelled like our dinner for days after that. It may be an uber eats...situation next time! But really really enjoyed the food!"
