"My quest to find a good quality Indian meal in France with fresh ground space and chilly was dashed again here. This is a clean restaurant with good service a a friendly Proprietor but the meal, although pleasant to eat, was devoid of chilly or anything that would be recognised as Indian cuisine in the UK.I put this to the Owner and Chef after the meal, he said that the French just won't eat spicy food, so I told him that the English used to feel that way but now it is the national dish. Anyway he pointed to a note at the bottom of the menu (in French) that says that if you want it spicy please ask.I suspect that if you ask for a proper Indian meal here it may be provided so give it a try; it has potential."

"Aside from ordering a menu or a boat of sushi, there is buffet formula with all you can eat at a fixed low price. You need to order (so not select from a buffet,) but then the sushi is been prepared guaranteeing freshness. Nice set-up for family, small groups. You order a variety of dishes and then share the portions. Sushi was very nice, but we were less enthusiastic about the brochettes which lacked some flavors. We went on Tuesday evening out of tourist season and it was very busy, soo better make reservation to be sure of your seting."

"Back to our hotel, fortunately we found Quai 42. It was a little after eating time this place is primarily a wine bar and food houses the wines, remember in France) and the owner finally agreed to serve us a fish soup...THE BEST I HAVE EVER TASTED) and a glass of wine. We had made a real house for the desert. We would definitely go back to Quai 42 to eat fish soup again and again. Pure joy."

"We have eaten in a few restaurants in Boulogne and tried this one as it was market day and the square was difficult to get to so we headed for the old town. There is a good a la carte menu but we went for the 2 set menus. Mine at 15 euros was fantastic value for moulles marineres, rare steak with Roquefort sauce and tarte au pommes. The set fish menu at 18 euros was equally as good. We were there quite early as we were going on the the Channel Tunnel so it was quite quiet but the service was good although I could imagine it slowing down if it got busy. It was good food at a good price in a pleasant location (and a lot cheaper than restaurants in the main town)"

"I visited this cafe with a friend after a long journey and we had missed lunch because of a delay in our travel. We arrived just after three P.M chose a table outside and chose something from the menu. Service was very slow, although it wasn't crowded, but finally a waiter arrived. I started to order some food, but I was interrupted by an abrupt Non! The waiter told us that the kitchen was closed and wouldn't open again before 7 P.M. so there was no possibility to eat. We decided to order a drink anyway. Ten minutes later, an elderly French couple came and sat near us and made their order. I was very surprised when they were quickly served with a plate of crepes each. We paid up and left."
