"So first, here are the positives, the views from the top of the mountain are awesome.It does take quite some time to get to the top of the mountain. The tour allows 2 hours at the top of the mountain so deduct that from the total tour and now you can see the travel time. We spent 9 hours on trains and busses getting there. Once there, the place was mobbed with people to the point it was like Disney World crowds. The tour was nice but don't go on the tour with a guide, go on your own as the guides rushed us through the ice palace and the peak of the mountain. Hint, take some snacks with you or pay awful prices for water, food or anything else.Overall an awesome experience to see the beauty but man it's not the Americans that are rude. I could not believe other people that pushed, shoved and ran."

"Tres mauvaise expérience dans cet hotel, très cher (150 CHF)moquette viellotte un peu partout et malodorante, odeur de graillon dans la salle a manger, chambre datant des années 70 et bruyante le petit déjeuner est réduit a sa plus simple expression avec un café tiède, un petit pain décongelé et de la confiture industrielle en mini pots plastique.totalement impersonnel et donnant l'impression d'un dortoir. De toutes façons la visite de la JungFrau étant faites, ils ont tout le temps du touriste frais et donc se moquent éperdument de la qualité de l'accueil. A vous dégouter de la Suisse"

"This is a review for the restaurant only. My wife and I honeymooned in Grindelwald, and our place was one bus stop away. Hotel Alpenblick is just off the downtown strip, so we didn't see it for the first few days. Trust me it is worth leaving the downtown area to come here, both for the quality and price of the food. We ate here for 3 dinners two in a row and then one coming all the way from Wengen on our last night. The food was fresh and local I ate off the seasonal menu twice, which includes local game. The menu offered a lot of variety, and the tastes were well thought out and well put together for each of the 5 meals we tried. The barley soup and cream of ratatouille soup, the Cocotte Alpenblick, the pheasant with sauerkraut, the homemade icecreams and sorbets, and the chocolate tart were all highlights of our whole honeymoon. The most surprising aspect was the cost of the food. We expected a high price for ingredients of this quality and meals of this caliber, but this was more affordable than any of the restaurants in downtown Grindelwald or Wengen and gave much larger portions. For 2 starters, 2 meals, and 2 (or 3) desserts, it cost us 81, 110, and 90 Francs. The staff were friendly and easy to speak with. They answered our many questions patiently. Everything about our experience dining at Hotel Alpenblick was positive, and I cannot recommend it more highly."

"That was our favorite restaurant that we visited for so many reasons in grindelwald. first the food was excellent - the pasta carbonara rivaled what we had eaten in itals and was so unforgettable and delicious! the staff was also friendly and helpful, it had the feeling of a family restaurant on the best wise. regarding the customer service, I had accidentally left my bag on the place next to me in the restaurant and only recognized the next morning. I have advised because it had important documents in it since we were on the international road, but we called and asked if they had my bag. they had actually secured my bag and had it ready for me when I arrived in perfect condition and with everything still intact. I was so grateful for her honesty and integrity!"

"Um es Vorneweg zu sagen: Grindelwald ist wunderschön und man kann sehr viel unternehmen - auch mit Familie. Nach genau solch einem Tag mit tollen Aktivitäten (Kinderwanderung Liselotte Weg ) freuten wir uns auf ein gemütliches Abendessen im CuM. Leider war die Enttäuschung gross, denn das Essen war mittelmässig und der Preis viel zu hoch. Das ist reine Geldmacherei!Positiv hervorzuheben war die Bedienung, die sich wirklich um und bemühte.Wer lediglich einen Apero auf der tollen Terrasse einnehmen will, ist hier richtig - aber für ein Abendessen stimmt das Preis Leistung Verhältnis nicht!"

"My wife and I dropped by this place after going to First to grab something to eat. We ordered their salad with their very own special dressing. Price is reasonable and the serving was big. It's a good place to unwind and relax. It's very quiet and cozy."
