"Another day wandering around Garden City and I began to feel peckish. In need for a feed, I headed into 8 Street to see whats on offer. Compared to my previous visit, I realised a few new eateries opened, it was good to see more variety around (will try when I get the chance). <br>

I stopped by Lemak, a newly opened Malaysian store serving up traditional dishes including, Char Kway Teow, Laksa, Roti and more. The little blackboard positioned infront of their counter got my attention and after a quick glance, I knew what I wanted. <br>

I was soon greeted by a friendly staff and my order was placed. In return, they gave me a buzzer and informed me that my Chicken Laksa will take around 10-15mins. <br>

Served in a takeaway bowl, my laksa was presented hot. The meal consisted of egg noodles mixed with vermicelli, tender chicken, a few beans and some bean sprouts. I took a quick sip of the soup and was slightly disappointed as it wasn't very flavourful (there was barely any coconut taste as well). The beans were really crunchy as if they weren't cooked properly. Unfortunately, overall this dish wasn't very much to my liking. <br>

Perhaps next time I'll give their Roti a try as it is one of my favourite foods."
