"This is a MUST while in Zermatt! We had such an amazing experience that we went two days in a row! To start off, the location is perfect and the atmosphere is so cozy and quaint. You will immediately feel comfortable. The owners, Nadine and Robi were right there to greet us as we arrived and of course they provided outstanding service!Furthermore, this is a true "farm to table" restaurant. Everything on the menu is either from Nadine and Robi's farm or Robi has been out hunting. This is a prime example of "all natural and organic." The quality is out of this world and cooked to perfection! We love red wine and their wine list was superb with Robi providing great recommendations. We felt so comfortable and had such a great time we didn't want to leave. Hopefully we will be back sooner then later!"

"We stayed at Chalet Hotel Schoenegg, Zermatt, the week 4-11th February with Inghams Holidays. We absolutely LOVED it! ❤️ The hotel is perfectly located above village with simply stupendous views of village and Matterhorn but literally just a three minutes walk from Sunnega lift station and Flexirent ski equipment rental. Staff in the hotel were absolutely delightful every single one of them in every dept - so friendly, welcoming and helpful (special thanks to Hosa in restaurant x) and the owner also ensured he spoke with all the guests each evening in the restaurant which was a very nice personal touch. Rooms very nice decor, extremely comfortable ( tea/ coffee facilities and dressing gowns and slippers included) immaculate and great views. The panoramic view from restaurant / dining room at breakfast and daytime was utterly spectacular and breathtaking. Watching the magnificent Matterhorn awake and present herself to the village she overlooks is a lasting memory. Indeed "A Room with a View" ( and for fans of The Night Manager, scenes were shot in the dining room here) we could have sat there all day admiring same but the snow conditions, pistes and skiing arena were just too fantastic! Breakfast buffet an amazing selection of hot & cold fare - cheeses and cold meats, smoked salmon, fresh fruit platters and melt in mouth mini croissants / pastries to name a few - even a glass of Prosecco if you wished!! Dinner was also 4 courses of delicious fare each night and the chef always happy to make alternatives for you if choices did not suit. And a lounge with roaring log fire or cosy bar to while away hours. And at the end of the day a divine little Spa area with jacuzzis, steam room, loungers and in house masseur to alleviate aching muscles - again with views to take your breath away. This hotel - its staff, location and incredible views, superlative standard of food and hospitality is a real stand out - we have walked in Zermatt before as well as first ski trip and definitely plan a return visit winter / summer in future. Cannot recommend highly enough - absolutely superlative. Also a visit to the village Museum is a must - amazing exhibits and history of Zermatt and mountaineering. We adore everything about Zermatt - Great To See You (again) !! Thank you Hotel Schoenegg - we will return! ❤️"

"We went to the restaurant with kids. They were very welcome and received a whole package to entertain themselves. The food was good. Very friendly service and the prices were correct for Zermatt. We took an apero at the bar which is a very cosy place. Their cocktails are very professional and they have a great choice. A place which is recommendable to all!"

"Top rated chop house with traditional setting and top service. The lemon spring chicken is a MUST eat. Risotto as a starter is also highly recommended. Expensive but worth it."

"We booked the evening dining event well in advance of our trip to Zermatt for a special birthday event. We went up the cable care not knowing what to expect from the evening. When we reached the top lift station we were met by Stefan (the manager) who walked us back to the beautiful chalet. We were the only guests that evening which made the evening even more special. Stefan was a superb host and the food was exquisite. the evening will stick in our memories for a very long time thanks to the surroundings, staff and food. I would recommend the the evening dining event at Simi's to anyone considering it. Following our fantastic evening we returned to the restaurant multiple times during the rest of our holiday for lunch."

"You eat well, with affordable prices (on zermatt scale. place very expensive) and you are quiet. Various and cared for menu. excellent dishes of typical Swiss cuisine. and in addition, once ocited by the restaurant there is no smell of food on it, which is a nice problem in many local restaurants"
