"Friends introduced us to this restaurant even though we frequent this strip mall and have walked by it numerous times through the years. They said that the sweet and sour pork was really good so I had to try the dish for myself. Over the years, I can count the number of times on one hand I have ordered take out Chinese food. Over the last 4 weeks I have ordered take out 3 times; basically too lazy to cook after going to the gym. On this last occasion, I ordered Singapore fried rice noodles $9.50) and Cantonese sweet and sour boneless pork $10.95). The total bill with taxes came to $21.47. Both were authentic dishes and tasted pretty good. The rice noodle dish was advertised as spicy but not spicy at all. I’ve had this dish at other restaurants and it is never spicy; basically a mild curry powder used in the dish. The sweet and sour pork had the right amount of sweet and sour. On another occasion we ordered the black bean sauce beef rice noodles flat wide noodles like fettuccine); another authentic tasting dish. Ratings Breakdown • Quality and taste – above average. 3.5 out of 5 rating • Portion size vis à vis price – Dishes were above average value given the size of the dish and the amount paid. For example, the Singapore noodle dish is in the $15 range at Number 9 Restaurant. 3.75 out of 5 rating • Service – The takeout order took less than 10 minutes. 3.75 out of 5 rating I would rate the overall food experience as trending towards good 3.75 out of 5 rating. Notes Tips: • If you’re going to order sweet and sour pork, order the Cantonese Sweet and sour pork that is deep fried and then pan fried the authentic version). The other version is battered deep fried pieces of pork served with a sweet and sour sauce. On all 3 occasions I have ordered the Cantonese sweet and sour pork. • Credit cards accepted • Limited seating inside – seating for approximately 10 people. • 10% discount for takeout over $25. "My wife and I needed a quick dim sum breakfast on the way out of Vancouver on a Friday morning. Found some positive reviews and had the GPS guide us to the nondescript location of Paramount Seafood. Ordered the special crab/pork dumplings, shrimp dumplings, bbq...pork buns and fried sticky rice. Everything was superb, some of the best we have ever had (and that includes San Francisco, Hong Kong, and many other cities). The staff were friendly and efficient. The room is without interest, but who cares? I highly recommend this restaurant. We will be back!"

"It was ok food, nothing extraordinary, but pricy. The staff was ok too, not very fluent in English and didn't quite understand some of our requests. It was convenient location for our family to eat because we stayed in Raddison hotel."

"Located just at the same place where the previous Kam Do Restaurant in Alexandra Road, the Eat Street of Richmond. They offered traditional Cantonese food - congee, flat noodle, egg noodle and rice with various topping (all day) but will give you a dinner menu at the right time if you come for dinner. Actually, the team was said to come from the previous famous Ho Yuen Kee Restaurant in Fraser Street, Vancouver (I was told). Food quality is upto standard and price is just alright - reasonable price. Dinning hall is comfortable n you won't feel too crowded. Parking is available at the back. My friend visited them during lunch time with satisfaction as well. They closed at 11:00 pm."

"This was the second time I’ve been at this restaurant for dim sum in the past 18 months.We arrived around 12:30 and the 4 of us had about a 15 minute wait before we were seated at our own table. We could have gotten in sooner if we shared a table with other customers.Like most restaurants these days, there are no dim sum carts. You are given a dim sum checklist and then you mark off what you want and give the list to the server.Most of the standard dishes are $2.98.We ordered the following dishes:• Pork dumplings - $2.98 (siu mai): no roe topping, taste-wise okay• Shrimp with pea tips dumplings - $2.98: different and taste-wise okay• Deep fried spicy calamari - $6.98: body only; juicy, tender and tasted good. I prefer the body. If I’m not mistaken, the tentacles are probably cheaper than the body.• Vegetables (pea tips) in Supreme soup - $6.95: okay• Pan fried eggplant stuffed with shrimp meat - $2.98: barely okay• Chicken and salted fish fried rice - $7.80: yummy!The service was okay nothing to complain about. Dishes came in timely manner. My only complaint would be the lack of free on-site parking if the restaurant complex lot is full.Most of the dishes were above average in taste except I didn’t really care for the shrimp stuffed eggplant. I would rate the overall food experience at 3.25+ out of 5.Notes & Tips:• Cash only• There are limited parking spaces on the restaurant’s grounds; maybe 8-10 spots in the front. You are allowed to double-park your car end to end and if the car you have hemmed in has to leave the restaurant before you do, the restaurant will announce your licence plate over the PA system. There is metered street parking on Leslie Road. I’m not sure but there may also be parking at the rear of the restaurant.• There is a small private room that holds a banquet table.• There are also menu items on the wall. Unfortunately, it’s all in Chinese."

"I remember the Gastown location being very good back in the day. I hadn't been to a Spaghetti Factory in a few years so it was shocking as to how bland the food was. The server did notice that I barely touched my food and offered a new dish. I was too disappointed to bother with another. I do appreciate the manager coming over to discuss and they ended up taking it off the bill."
