"Small, cozy and lively Portuguese restaurant in a hamburg area with Portuguese, Italian and Spanish restaurants. we chose benfica to random but not disappointed pole portions, good quality and efficient service. I had an excellent lamb dish and my friends enjoyed their fish dishes. the restaurant has a pleasant family feeling ambiente. no credit cards so that we had to scrape the bill in cash together and I recommend that the menu or the personal say this before eating!"

"This restaurant is on a very popular street in the Portuguese district of Hamburg, lots of tourists and locals alike. However, the food here is, at best, very average and the service is slightly disinterested. One main meal had very few prawns, for what was a reasonably high price. Similarly, this main meal was much, much smaller than the main that my husband selected - the squid dish, which was too large for one person, which seems like bad planning when putting together the menu. The squid dish was also just about reasonable, although lacking seasoning. The food was overall underwhelming, and seemingly lacking in a noticeable enthusiasm from the staff. We had visited last year and found the service, experience and food much more positive. Sorry to say we would not plan to return to O Farol on our next visit to Hamburg."

"Un bon restaurant qui est très simple mais les produits semblent frais, le poisson est très bien cuit, un peu trop sale dommage ... manger la salade ou les pommes sautées qui ne sont pas salées avec ^^. Vous choisissez votre type de poisson, n'hésitez pas à rentrer pour commander et regarder les posions. Vous vous installée la ou il y a de la place, c'est conviviale et très abordable. Good fish restaurant, very simple but fish seems fresh and cooked very well. A little bit too much salt on fish. Don't hesitate to go inside to look and select your favorite fish. Find a table and share it. it's friendly and not expensive."

"Nice Chinese cafe with all-you-can-eat system. Came there at Saturday for lunch, but the choice was very limited, so I left and returned in the evening. The choice of the food have improved with the addition of the grill, where you can order shrimps, mussels,...salmon, squid. A lot of seafood, fried duck was also present. The food is cooked not bad, but nothing to write home about, salmon was over grilled, fried items had a lot of oil left. Ice cream is of the cheap varieties. Nice addition is the chocolate fountain. So, overall, nice place to eat a lot, but do not expect to have tasty meal."

"We dined here two times during a recent visit to Hamburg. The restaurant is slightly outside the very city centre, but only by a few minutes walk. We would not have spotted you (since you are placed inside a large hotel) if we had not...seen the recommendation in the Michelin guide. Both meals were up to very high standards, in all aspects. The size of the menus is just right (not too small, not too large) which means that you can serve everything on the menu close to perfection, judged by our sampling. We had a pollo with ratatouille, a fish dish, and a calf filet as mains everything very well prepared. Superb wine list with lots of good and very affordable alternatives (including several good 25 cl alternatives). Service (dominated by Italians) very attentive. We particularly liked the nice ambience, with a fine setting without external disturbances (and no loud speaker music in the back ground), providing good opportunities for table talks. A very comfortable restaurant with excellent value for money, well worth the few extra minutes of walk to find this place. ."

"Heerlijk met partner op het grote terras gegeten. Erg goede ervaring, het eten was erg lekker. Goed eten, veel beter dan het gemiddelde Griekse restaurant. Absoluut top is ook de bediening. Zowel binnen als buiten was het vol en drankjes en eten stonden in no time op tafel. Echt een aanrader."
