"My friend and I went here for dinner for our guy's night out. We got a good meal, but, the final cost came to about $35 a person because we had lamb and a soft drink, and that is part of the extra cost all-you-can-eat. Too much, in my opinion. The meat was fine. The vegetables were unimpressive, except for the kimchi which was good. The service left much to be desired. Our orders were forgotten, twice, and they got it wrong another time. Though other tables had their grills changed in the middle of their meal, ours wasn't (and it was quite filthy) and we had to scrape it off ourselves. Water was hard to come by because we had ordered soft drinks. The place feels very industrial. The visible pipes and dark paint were strange to have at a restaurant. The grills were quite low in the table so that me, a very tall guy, could only really use the half of the grill furthest away from me."

"I planned a birthday dinner for a friend and was excited based on the reviews and the menu. We arrived just after they opened. Straight away I was hit with the strong smell of cigarettes that lingered in the air. I then saw two blank faces at the sushi bar, and nearly hidden from view, a person lying across a booth seat on the phone. Feeling the awkward silence, I hesitantly and regretfully asked for a table. The person at the booth, still hidden from view, calls out “sit anywhere”. Next, from the bar they call out the machine was broken so cash only. They gave us an excuse to leave the restaurant politely.Even if they had just opened shop, I was taken back by the level of customer service having worked in a restaurant myself. But I was most shocked and disgusted about the cigarette smell and couldn’t have left fast enough."

"This was our families first trip to Osaka Sushi in Markham. We were meeting friends from the area and they suggested it as they have eaten there for lunch on several occasions.We met up on a Sunday night for dinner and the place was packed! We did not think to make reservations but as we were a party of 8 and we promised to be fast they promptly seated us in a private room. The service was prompt and polite (it helped that we had a Korean speaker at our table). We each ordered something different...sushi, udon, ramen, tempura, bento boxes and donburi. All the food was prepared using fresh ingredients. Everyone enjoyed their meal. I had the Bulgogi Donburi and it was one of the best Bulgogi I have had. The beef was extremely tender and it was perfectly seasoned. I also tried the salmon sushi and the volcano roll. The volcano roll was spicy so beware if you do not like heat! The portion sizes were very generous and it was easy to overeat as it tasted so good.Overall a very enjoyable meal. I would definitely go back if I'm in the area."
