"We always rely on trip advisors reviews and this one has so many excellent reviews it seemed a very good choice. But just upon arrival we asked if it was possible do dine for two people (it was 21:45) and they had to check with the kitchen . Now, if you accept clients to serve, you must take the responsibility of giving them the time to choose the menu, and not being French the time to actually understand what they choose. So after two minutes they were already asking please choose as the kitchen wants to close, so very quickly we chose two plates we could understand, shrimp carpaccio and beef tartar. They were extremely fast serving but on my behalf I must say that the carpaccio being one of my favourite dishes was actually a fruit bowl where you couldn’t taste the shrimps at all, with an ice cream ball. It felt like a dessert . I am very open to new ideas and cuisine variety but to my taste it’s unforgivable to have a shrimp carpaccio that is buried under fruit. Tartar was ok, didn’t seem cut with the knife , and no bread biscuits and mustard to accompany but it was overall “ok”. I would have to try more dishes to be able to maybe give it a higher score, but I really don’t feel very inclined to go back…"

"En vacances en Corse pour une semaine, ce restaurant familial nous a été recommandé. Et nous ne regrettons pas de nous être arrêté à " L'improviste" !!Installé en terrasse, nous avons été servis par la propriétaire du restaurant très souriante et agréable.Nous avons pu déguster des plats copieux et succulents. Nous nous sommes laissés tenter par des Sèches à l'ajaccienne accompagnées de riz et un tartare de bœuf accompagné de frites maison. Et pour finir des fraises Melba et des profiteroles maisons GÉANTS !!!Cuisine succulente et faite maison !! Je vous recommande ce restaurant accueillan et délicieuxNous retournons en Corse fin Août, Avec un passage obligatoire à l'improviste !!"

"We had dinner in the restaurant and it was fabulous (not expected at all.) the ingredients were top quality and cooked with love. the cost was also very reasonable. it may not be any taste, but the knochenmark was superb, as the steak was. al in all, a great meal and we highly recommend the restaurant!"
