"We have been to this restaurant a few times and we love it. The staff are so lovely the food is good. So disappointed last night though! We had the pasta and thought the portions were really small. Such a shame as Arcos is one of my favourite restaurants in Quinta."

"What a disappointment. We were so excited to try the number two ranked restaurant in Vale do Lobo, but we left scratching our head about who on Earth has written the reviews for this place! On arrival we wondered where we had come too? It’s...like a transport cafe off a main road in Bradford! Just downright rough and more than grim. We asked on a lovely warm evening we asked if we could sit on their outdoor terrace with our cocktails. We were told “no! We have no lights, it’s dirty and we haven’t cleaned them”. Ok! Let’s sit in then. So we were plonked in an indoor room with plastic chairs while the lady brought in a blue tooth speaker playing Mariah Carey covers while closing the windows so the ancient aircon unit could Cool the room down from the 30 degrees it said on the display! We ordered cocktails which ranged from a reasonable Bloody Mary to a rancid Pina Colada. The bread for the table was tiny and verging on stale while the garlic bread was dry and uninspiring. Not too worry though? The steaks they are famous for will save the day? All those reviews after all? We ordered a sirloin and a ribeye. Both with peppercorn sauce and chips and new potatoes. Well the chips were nice but that’s where it ends. My ribeye was never a ribeye in a million years. It was rump passed off as ribeye, and my wife’s sirloin was the worst thing I’ve ever seen on a plate served to a paying customer. Inedible shoe leather. 100% frozen and just ghastly. Peppercorn sauce rotten. New Potatoes deep fried! Seriously. We got the bill off the lovely and pleasant staff and ordered an Uber. As we waited staff where in and out of a chest freezer. Enough said. We won’t return."

"We have visited Bovino’s many times over the last 9 years and normally rave about it. However this time our experience was mixed. The bar area at Bovino’s is a wow factor. The cocktail mixologist was great and gave us an excellent experience. Once in the main restaurant, the service was very slow. The food took ages to arrive, The offer of more drinks was slow and we sat with empty glasses most of the time. The food was tasty and well presented when it did arrive , which was disappointing. The food was well cooked, tasty and presented attractively."

"Average on all fronts. Beef chilli had lived a good long life before it arrived at our table and was like warm. Half eaten and no comment when removed. Sirloin steak was good meat but there was garlic loaded everywhere without request and including the...french fries."

"Exceedingly welcoming staff, food of a good quality only downside was the bouncy castle in the outside space that I’m sure during the day would be used by children but in the evening it had teenagers using them who were somewhat noisy!"

"Soirée simple, la femme ma fille et moi.Après avoir commandés, une tête pas très sympa, probablement par ce que nous n'avons pas pris entrée, plat et dessert...Nous demandons une Sangria, mais uniquement dispo en 1 litre...Bref, au final 2 assiettes de pâtes, une salade César, une petite glace en pot et un café, pour la maudite somme de 79€ !Ce n'est pas le prix en tant que tel, mais pour un plat hyper basique et une tête d'enterrement, c'est cher payé !Passer votre chemin..."
