"I walked into the bistro to order food. The girl ignored me . Walked pass me 3 times and eventually said won't be a moment. I waited over 5 mins. In the end walked out due to poor customer service."

"The Aussie as it is known has a separate dining room attractive for those who are not overly excited about eating in a pub. The decor is warm and inviting with a fire operating in Winter . The menu is large and the portions are very big. The Chicken Snitzel is enormous but tender and moist. Our party loved the wedges , the Cob loaf garlic bread and excellent salt and pepper squid . Perhaps the best value for money eatery in Cessnock and its not overly noisy ."

"I think eating is aimed at sweet tooth vests who do not want a spicy or original Chinese dishes with hearty, beaten taste. it is probably good for children. I asked for something taste that is not really sweet. I was recommended to the Mongolian lamb. it was. like to eat meat in a soda from lion. there was also some chili, but the predominant taste was lamme in ketchup with more sugar for good size cast. the fried rice was in order, but he really tasted like cooked rice with ham and egg. No taste of garlic or chili or torf. again perhaps good for young children and perhaps not the owners owe if that is what their customers want."

"My brother's family and my family had a wonderful meal on Saturday night. We were in a side room of this awesome Resteraunt. The atmosphere was private, comfortable and welcoming. The kids were not an issue.....especially when the food arrived! My 12 year old "gourmet" son - won't even look at the kids menu at Daniel's - loved the scollops....his "last meal" before he goes to high school....so he described it. As for the adults, not a thing is left on the plates. The prawn and salmon pancake can only be described as delicious. Never had anything like that before. The presentation was only exceeded by the taste. What an entree! I've never eaten sides on dishes that are so fresh. The rocket, beans and cucumbers for example taste as though Daniel has just picked them from his garden out the back as he prepared our meal. This sums up all the food. Fresh, tasty and made to please and enchant the tastebuds. We all left happy, having enjoyed the atmosphere and food provided by this gem of a resteraunt. We will be back!"
