"We were taken here for lunch by a local guide on our day out around the island. Food was fresh, and enjoyable particularly the lapas, and the shrimps. A real local eaterie. Great value for money as each dish cost around 5 euros."

"It’s rare that a place has all 3; quality food, good service and a nice atmosphere. But this place was perfect! Located on the seafront just a short walk from Dom Pedro hotel, I was welcomed by attentive staff and seated outside with a view...of the ocean and Machico by night. Although very busy, (seems a popular spot the staff did everything they could to attend to me even showing me the fish before cooking it and making suggestions etc. Nothing was too much trouble and I was checked on regularly whilst sitting by the waves soaking in the peaceful scenery. An ideal end to my holiday in Madeira! Obrigada to all the lovely ladies working hard to make this place special and to the chef for one of the most beautiful, fresh parrot fish I’ve ever tasted!"

"O staff da sala não merece nota negativa. O da cozinha devem ter pouca noção de cozinha ou então estão apenas a fazer um frete. Pedi peixe grelhado veio frito (óleoso é o termo mais adequado) sem sal e com grainhas pretas típicas quando o óleo é reutilizádo. Os legumes transpareciam ter sido aquecidos pela milésima vez. No final 40€ serviram para eu aprender que ali não se come."

"Very nice restaurant with lovely food. The service war also very friendly. We enjoyed our stay very much. The home-made paté was delicious, the beef with Madeira wine excellent. "We found the restaurant by chance, but we'd come back if we ever came to Machico again. Shrimps, Dorada and Tuna were delicious. So was the Vinho Verde which the waiter recommended. The maracuja pudding also was very nice. We had a very attentive waiter, so that it was a great overall experience"
