"Arrived to be told they did not have our booking so no table available in restaurant. I had asked for a wi dow tsble so no point in asking for special requirements when they did not even have our booking or space for us. Put us in the bar which was fine but when my daughter ordered a drink the girl said she was off to get apple juice mid order and never returned!!!. No knives for scones and one cream tea had more cakes on their tray (5 booked). Paid and price was £30.00 more than advertised on website. Poor service. Staff miserable. Manager seemed to be running around doing everything the staff should be doing. Would not go again."

"Not easy on the wallet by any means, but is this the worst Chinese I’ve had? No. In fact, not nearly. Based on the existing reviews for New Tai Yuen, I’m not sure if we were lucky to visit on a good day or what the go was, but we were happy with our meal.<br/ <br/ The Spring Rolls were tasty, and the Gow Gee were awesome! For mains we ordered Satay Chicken and the Sweet BBQ Beef. Both these dishes were pretty good. The fried rice was a little bland, but again, I’ve certainly had worse. <br/ <br/ All in all I really can’t make any complaints. The staff were attentive and friendly, the food was served quickly and we enjoyed the experience overall."

"Great food, enough of it, great service and atmosphere, price matches what you get. We were 4 adults, entrees came within a few minutes, main followed fast after that and desserts/coffee as well. Wines are good, prize is good and you can order 1/2 or a 1/1 carafes (1 litre) (house wine which is extra ordinary good) and of course a traditionel bottle. Enjoy."
