"A beautiful visit for coffee and cake. coffees were excellent and the cake was also good. the service was friendly, although a little slow to deliver to our table, although to be fair, several orders have been taken directly before us. now dog friendly in the ground floor."

"Neither the two employees were interested in our order, so we went after 10 minutes. the tee room was only 1/3 full, so they had a lot of opportunity to serve us, but spent their time slowly clearing tables and prepared drinks on a screw. they didn't care that we left and I think they were happy that they had a less table to serve."

"It was great. from the moment we went in and had a pre-dinner drink at the cash, to the payment of the bill of the service was error-free and eating amazing. we were a party of 4 and had the tasting menu. One of us, I don't eat meat and is gluten intolerant. it was not a problem for the kitchen in the lighthouse, nothing was too much annoyed. the very green asparagus and peas risotto with broccoli I was served while the others had their meat course was one of the best if not the best risottos I ever tasted. such price-performance ratio also at 50 pfunds per head. we have pampered ourselves in a few bottles of wine, and the young also had the cheese course, but nevertheless, good value for money and an amazing evening. we will definitely return. a must if they are all a reasonable drive away in the opposite st georges park, jcb and alton towers."

"First time visiting today . Hi Good selection of plants and pots outside nice areas inside to browse. Didn’t visit the cafe as I was short on time. I Wanted to buy some fruit on my way out with my other purchases. But the selection was non existent. I’ve knocked a star off due to the young ladies on the tills today that were a little rude chatting amongst themselves. No thank you or goodbye as I waited for my change. Shame as the staff outside in the plant area were very helpful and friendly."

"Menu focused on pasta and pizza but within those areas there was a good choice. Prices were mid range. Drinks the Prosecco and elderflower tasted like soda and elderflower. I did query and they assured me it was prosecco but if it was the proscecco...must taste of soda!!! So half a star off for that. Food wise the thin crust pizza was excellent. The pasta bake was a good sized portion but the pasta was over cooked and a little too soft for my liking NOT “al dante”!!! As it should be. So half a star off for pasta being over cooked. Service was excellent. Restaurant itself was very nice and well presented"

"Six of us had a very good dinner between christmas and the new year. the service was great without long waiting times. the little thai platter (for two) was the perfect starter, very fresh and tasty. prawn, huh and nudel main dishes were great for. quality her marlborough sauvignon blanc was a much better wine than the restaurants often happen as these iconic sorts. good value, and worth a return visit"
