"(Note: I would have forgiven five stars, but for HappyCow policy (no perfect evaluations for restaurants that serve animal products has made me a fact to be very grateful to me from this place! menu almost completely plant with some additional options for omnivores (very refreshing change in contemplating other places in townsville). they love to build their own breakfast option the macadamia feta, crushed avo, and sauteed shrooms are ingenious on homemade brot. they run from a very friendly and accommodating crew that sorts out my brunch and caffeine requirements. highly recommended updated by previous review on 2020-09-14"

"Great pies and rolls, served hot with sauce. Delicious to munch on as you stroll around the market. Cheap too, plus even cheaper if you buy bulk. Cooked and uncooked pies available we often take some home and store in the freezer as a quick meal option. Not everything is vegan, so just check when ordering."

"It is so exciting to be able to eat croissants, especially chocolate croissants from this sweet bakery offers bunch of vegan options. And they are not the best I ever had, but brought home and warmed a little in the oven they really hit the place. Pretty delicious! The vegan mushroom cake and vegan sausage roll are good again, they will not put the world on fire, but will completely satisfy. (The pastry on the sausage roll is not very fluffy, for example it is more like a crust and the filling is not so exciting). Really nice staff when a little confused about what vegan is. Nice place. "We ended up here by accident when the cafe we'd planned to go to turned us away due to being booked out, and I'm really happy about this turn of events. The food here was just awesome. I haven't had a croissant in ages and have been thinking about them for days, so the Amelie was an obvious choice for me. I wasn't sure how the croissant would go with the savoury goodness of the tofu scramble, hash browns, tomato and aioli, but it was somehow the perfect addition to mop up at the end. I absolutely wolfed it down. My partner ordered Mr Bean and kindly let me try some it was also amazing, I am a big fan of polenta and theirs was spot on. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the coffee was lovely. This was the perfect accidental brunch date and I would definitely come back on purpose!"
