"We sat because google had tried to get us to a closed place on the road. we were offered as the only option for £30 per person the complete festive menu with unlimited grill. we had an hour to go to our show so we didn't want to sit there and spend there forever, so we asked for a little less. When our waitress finally came back to our starter selection, she informed us that we could get a Vortheater dinner that we chose because it was only £20 per person and seemed to fit into our limited time. suppenstarters finally came out, they seemed confused when we got up to get our grill because they had not deleted our empty dishes after a few minutes, and they had not had the trouble to clear our empty grill bowls when we had done quite a lot of time. When we finally got their attention, she informed us about dessert and we ordered to go cheesecakes so we could make our show. After ten minutes I finally got up and paid the bill so we could go, but we never got our cheesecake. even if it didn't come, we ordered it and never got it. the suppe was really good, and the cook did not make our fish so good. if we had a better service, it would have been a higher rating."

"Waited at least 5 minutes for maitre d to direct us to appropriate restaurant. Bad start there. When we reached Halloumi we were told all ordering was done through QR codes, which included a 5% service charge. We stumbled through the online ordering (pre show menu) and half our menu arrived 5 minutes later. This made me think they were warming up pre-made dishes, an idea which was confirmed when I tasted the houmous which was completely tasteless. The pita was unappealing. I don’t think we have ever sent food back at a restaurant but this was disgusting. To their credit, the waiting staff apologised and offered a replacement. My wife said that if the replacement was as bad as the original we didn’t want it. We were offered other alternatives such A free drink. The gyros, when they arrived (before the calamari incidentally) also showed no evidence of flavour and consisted of big chunks of chicken/pork wrapped up in a thick pita roll. The overwhelming taste was the pita rather than the meat. Their outdoor drinking area was partially enclosed with a permanent roof. I’m not sure of the regulations but I thought people were not allowed to smoke or vape in such a situation; they were doing both. We spoke to a staff member about this who told us smoking was allowed in the area and offered to get a supervisor to discuss this. No one showed. So if you want bland inedible food at an expensive price, if you want to pay (including tip) before you’ve ever seen the food, or the service, and if you want something approaching service from two of goodness knows how many staff are on duty, then Cranside Kitchen Halloumi is for you. If you want a decent meal, stay well away from this place."
