"We, and our dogs, had a very warm welcome from all the staff at The Star. The bar had a nice relaxed atmosphere and the macaroni cheese and side salad were delicious. We will definitely go there again next time we are in the area."

"My husband and I went as an anniversary treat,as the reviews looked great and the the room's looked lovely. The the room that we got looked nothing like the one's on the website. It was very basic and shabby (Not shabby chic )It was so disappointing. I think the staff were doing their best but it seemed understaffed. We won't be back."

"This is one of the shops that must get visited when in town the staff are all well experiened in the meat trade the pie maker frazer makes amazing scotch pies even better if your lucky to be in wen there just out of oven they also offer a delivery service in town and local areas which is good for older people orders taken on phone always a full display to see the meat is local scottish and fresh prices yes there good i never reccomend supermarket meat fresh from the butchers is best"

"We are locals and have been to Piccola Italia Moniaive several times. We have always had very tasty food, with the added benefit of great service. The owners and staff do a great job. It can be a struggle these days for a small business to keep going, especially when they are out in the sticks but Piccola Italia thrives due to simply being great at what they do. Four of us went along last night for my niece 's 18th. We were allowed to bring a birthday cake with us, which the staff were happy to bring out with sparkly candles, with our coffee at the end of the meal. Very generous of them to allow us to bring our own cake. Our meal was excellent, and a good time was had by all. Thanks Piccola Italia Moniaive ! Highly recommend."

"The food was lovely, one of the best curry's I've had, hospitality was not great and some staff were very rude. Do not serve alcohol so you have to take your own alcoholic drinks, not the end if the world but a very nice curry."
