"Fantastic beach front dining experience. The views cannot be beat and the service is excellent. Of course the seafood, risotto, salads, and cuisine is finely curated for an incredible experience. The bar drinks are fine-tuned for flavor, and the hula pie is a must."

"I love the Ritz-Carlton hotels. We booked here to use Marriott points and were able to get a 2 bedroom residence with a points cash upgrade. The staff is excellent. The food was great. The pool was very nice. The accommodations were outstanding. You can get the Kapalua shuttle anywhere on the property. Definitely use it to visit Kapalua Bay! Worth every penny!"

"We were a party of five. umalu is located at the hyatt, outdoors by the pool. service was very good. the exterior was very nice. one of the parties had the fish special that was delicious. everyone enjoyed their meal."

"We were looking for a great restaurant outside of our resort and drove right by and decided to check it out! So glad we did because this place is a true gem! Service was great and the food was so good! Definitely check this out if looking for a local Chinese restaurant. Very fresh and savory. Seems to be a family owned which was another big plus for us in Hawaii."

"Overall, this was a decent experience; however, I was extremely disappointed in where we were seated. We were seated all the way back at the last row back from stage and on the side end near the area where food was being prepared so all we kept hearing were dishes clanking and servers talking and laughing. Not only that, but we were also unable to view the show seated at the table so we had to constantly stand up and move around. This wasn’t ideal for my disabled elderly parents who were there to celebrate their 50th anniversary.The food was served in courses and was pretty good. My favorites were the taro rolls with guava butter, pineapple cake and piña colada and mai tai drinks. I don’t eat pork so I couldn’t enjoy that part, but the fish was good.The show was very traditional, but a bit long winded….but the sound and lighting production were excellent.In short, it was an ok experience but certainly not one that blew me away in awe. I’d cautiously recommend depending on what type of luau you’re interested in."

"I wanted to love this place because the mission of zero waste local organic vegan food is 100% on point. Unfortunately, the food is only meh. My Loko moku was dry and tasteless. The Taroburger was a chewing tasteless puck. The fajita bowl was uninspired. It was slow and expensive and I was disappointed. People are super nice; I wish they had better food!"

"Beautiful spot, super friendly staff (our server was excellent), but the food and cocktail menu didn't impress. Call me crazy but I expected more local favorites and a decent cocktail menu based off the name and logo. It is a little boogie for me and your paying for the view. The food by no means tasted bad or wasn't prepared correctly, it just isn't Hawaiian anymore than the beach being there. Menu is digital here."

"My man and I are both vegan, but his whole family (parents, older brother and wife, younger brother) are not. they can therefore imagine how difficult it was to find restaurants that make the whole family happy. roy was not part of the divisive restaurants. all enjoyed our time at roys very much. my man and I enjoyed amazing cocktails, an appetizer, unique entrees, which even impressed the all-round, good wine, delicious dessert and a fascinating Japanese high. the restaurant has a dedicated vegetarian menu (for this they can arrive that all vegan-friendly can be modified. there were three appetizers, three entrees and one dessert for selection (although this change was seasonal) the waiter was knowledgeable about the nutritional requirements and made easy the necessary switch. all went happy and full of dinner."

"A Thai food truck with more than just a few vegan options. I had the vegetable soup which was delicious and not spicey. I also had the vegan pad thai and spring rolls (not fried) with peanut sauce which were also tasty."
