"I had a wonderful experience at marios today. we went in before we went home with plans to try their vegan pizza. when joe heard that we eat plant-based, he gave us enthusiastically her 100% vegan menu (what a big surprise! and we decided to order pasta dinner (it was barely lunch! ... and then order a few pizzas to go home later in the evening. our party enjoyed the vegan minenstrone, the baked rigatoni, the penne in garlic and olive oil, the penne in a fabulous mushroom red sauce, and a vegetable bottom. all enjoyed their meal immense. extremely tasteful! In addition, we had the privilege to speak with joe, ernesto and joes son (I forgot to ask his name. what a wonderful family! at the end of the meal we have literally seen old family photos on joes handy. on the way to home we talked about making a low season drive to oc, just for enjoying to eat there again. joe, my teenage son was very impressed by her plant-based menu and says that when we come back down, he will bring them a batch of his vegan chocolate chip cannoli! Many thanks for today they share their wonderful culinary skills and warm hospitality with us, my hearts! what a great way to finish a wonderful trip!"

"Superb hidden gem in OCMD tucked away from the coastal highway. Food: 5/5 Service 5/5 Friendliness: 5/5 Attentiveness: 5/5 Cleanliness: 5/5 i was doing some research for restaurants to celebrate my Birthday in OCMD. After some careful digging, decided to give this restaurant a try after seeing the photos of the views. From the moment we approached the Hobbiton styled front entrance, the door was immediately opened for us, greeted by a friendly staff who seemed extremely welcoming. We were informed our table was still being setup, and sat down within 5 minutes. Unfortunately we did not get to see the rest of the restaurant inside, since the outdoor dining we booked was right behind the hostess 's desk (Next time we will book inside sitting and check the place out). But the restaurant seems to have a lot of little Hobbiton details all over. As soon as we sat down, we noticed there was a Happy Birthday sign on our table, with a cute LED candle. For appetizer we both ordered Soup (Summer Squash, and Crab Bisque (Which had huge chunks of crab meats) both were absolutely delicious, accompany with some very light fist size bread) Main course We ordered Swordfish with grilled scallops, and Filet Mignon. Both were cooked to perfection and very flavorful. Dessert we decided to share one of my favorites, Creme Brulee. Our waitress... Not only was she extremely attentive and friendly. the way she went ABOVE and BEYOND to make sure the candle was lit (While there was heavy winds blowing from all around) so I could have a proper birthday celebration, was MUCH Appreciated (Because I was ready to say, it 's ok after many tries, but the wind said otherwise) Overall our dining experience was PERFECT. Food was amazing, staffs were extremely friendly, attention to details were not missed at all. and the restaurant cleanliness was on point (Around the dining area, bathroom and the hallways) Looking forward to going back again when we get another chance to visit OCMD."

"Thought we would try this restaurant today 7/23/2022. Food was subpar, did not taste fresh! Hush puppies were hard as a rock. Soft shell crab was over fried. They fried the Salmon! Baked potato was old. Crab soup tasted like sweet pudding. Had a mojito, had to send it back. Lost my appetite. Very disappointed. The stars are for the server Suzy who was very nice."

"I met the owner through a friend and she was super helpful on what is vegan. Some of the baked goods distinguish between vegan with/without honey (strict vegan vs not strict). The gazpacho soup was awesome and I enjoyed a Beyond Sausage and cheese. I also indulged in a PB cup smoothie that was yummy. Who would think you could get some good vegan food on the boardwalk!!"

"Sofritas is a great meat alternative that Chipotle offers. Many other vegan options you would find in a burrito, such as vegetables, guacamole, rice and beans, as well. Great staff, but hectic when it gets busy."
