"A strange place for North America is no fries, lots of fruit and all that. The blues come fast, unusually decorated, mostly fruit, and the berries can be filled in all tables at lunch this weekend. There's a baby menu, and I recommend it to the kids, and it's a huge pile of pores, but it looks like you want to try everything. There's no gluten dishes."

"My wife and I both started with apps: my mussels in a white cream sauce was delicious and her fried zucchini was perfectly cooked with a tasty crispy batter on the outside while still tender and moist on the inside. We followed with the lasagna...and filet of sole, and then for dessert, the moist and chocolatey cake as well as the chocolate tartufo."

"I've been to Chu Shing many times but never for Peking Duck and never on an early Friday evening. Both were a pleasant surprise! Apparently lots of people have a tradition to go there on a late Friday afternoon, and quite a number of people were there when we went early, around 6 pm. As a result, there was a nice atmosphere of family and couples. We ordered our duck "three ways": wraps, soup, and in a stir fry. Along with a vegetable and noodle dish, it was way too much good stuff for the two of us, but staff happily boxed it up for us to take home. Atmosphere-wise and food-wise, we both left content."

"Good food for the price. Great delivery service, food is excellent for the price (its very cheap compare to other chinese restaurants). Inside could use a little cleaning/renovations but the most important is obviously the food excellent.<br/>I recommend the BBQ duck and the beef fried noodles."

"This little hole in the wall restaurant is worth the lineup and the cramped quarters. Their Thali and garlic naan are the best I've had in Ottawa. Plus there's a little Indian grocer next door where you can get delicious samosas and burfi to take home."

"I ordered delivery from this restaurant while visiting a sick relative at the hospital. Do your research and don't believe the good reviews. They are wrong! I ordered a combo meal which included chicken. The hot and sour soup was awful! The chicken dish has...an overwhelming smell of fish, and my sick mother was as disgusted as me by the smell of rotting fish coming from a chicken dish. When contacted, the restaurant owner Lille said I must be mistaken because their food is always good. Instead of owning up, she delivered disappointment. There are many excellent restaurants in Ottawa, do yourself a favor and go to one of them and avoid this one. I heard that the owners are retiring soon and closing the restaurant; it is likely that they have downgraded the quality of food to help increase their profits for retirement. Shame on you!"
