"We have come home after two wonderful days in brovey lair. our room was large, bright, clean with a nice comfortable bed. the breakfast cooked by mike is cal mex so that they get exotic fruits, yogurt and then maybe huevos rancheros or French toast (and they can sleep late because tina does not make early morning, but then also not we but they really come here to dinner because tinas cook is at a very high level in the did. a few games for what could be on the menu are enough. Halibut tagine is cooked with vegetables first and the healed later added, which is possible to the beautifully cooked healed it, together with cherry tomatoes, aubergines, paprika, oliven, saffron, pickled lemons and orzo with pine nuts and sulanas made for a large plate. in the second night we started with king scallops cooked with saphir (only in the season for a few months we heard) with Chinese five seasoned and sesame, followed by mönchen with soba nudeln. their ingredients are top quality tinas liberal use is seasoned to improve and support the taste of fish instead of overwhelming. this is cooking at a very high level in the did and if in the equation it is an additional suppening course, which is on the same level as anything else, then what they pay is something of a bargain. the wine list is short, but contains some very good bottles all under £40. All penetrated is the theatre that is a lot of part of the experience here. it helps to be sociable as tina and mike are very chatting. Finally, it is her home, but it helps everything to add the experience as they are treated as hospitable on her dinner party. we had a fantastic time with some beautifully cooked food and will be back as soon as we can. thanks tina and mike!"

"Quiet location at edge of village overlooking fields and trees. Warm welcoming host and pub with well-stocked bar and excellent food. In the 3 nights there, we tried the traditional fish and chips through the gourmet chicken stuffed with salmon in cheese sauce with cream and wine. Every dish exceptional! Comfortable spacious bungalow complete with tea, fresh fruit, and chocolate biscuits! Best place to return to after walking the Pingo trail! "Huge plates and food was yummy!! Don't go for the roast dinner having breakfast before... you won't finish your plate!! Veg was nicely cooked, gammon was beautiful and soft and the whole thing went down a treat!!"

"I believe this Chinese takeaway also had a buffet in Bury St Edmunds there food there was excellent. But what has gone wrong with the takeaway in THETFORD. This was one to go to for great food but not anymore. I ordered several rice dishes...but when I got home and opened the containers oh dear full of oil the rice was obviously fried in to much cooking oil. Making it soggy and unhealthy to eat. I did complain and was told the next order would not be charged for. Well the next order a few days later was the same just greasy. It’s a shame because this was one of the best takeaway in THETFORD. Hope they see this complaint and rectify this problem."

"We found this pub after visiting the excellent water gardens at nearby Gooderstone. It is simply a real gem of a country pub. Real ale, real cooked food, real warm welcome, dog friendly. Proper home cooked pies with a real crust. Well worth seeking out!"

"Booked a table for a family meal, the service was very good from the young lady serving on the Saturday evening we went. The kids both ordered steak, cooked perfectly to their preference, the peppercorn sauce was incredible. My sister had the Katsu Chicken which looked amazing and she really enjoyed it. I went for the Lamb shank, which was very large and absolutely delicious too. The prices were reasonable for the quality. Perfect dinner and we all enjoyed it! Thanks."
