"We've been struggling to find something in the opposite, so we were glad to find it. Even on a Tuesday night, we had the pleasure of getting the last table. so best to book in advance if you can. they have a fairly limited menu and seem to work with the fixed three course menu of 40€. the staff was very friendly and knowledgeable on vegan eating. even brot was served with oil to replace the butter. the main dish on the menu was vegan, but for the starter and dessert they have veganized the vegetarian option, which means that they can be replaced by nuts and chocolate with compott. more nice, but it led to moderately oriented. the main dish with coated tofu and glazed ice-plant was however very tasty and came with a large tablet of kartoffel and baked vegetables. it was very rich and delicious. if possible, we would ring next time in advance and/or check whether a separate main course is possible without the other courses"

"I've been eating at Rainbow House since 2013. I love their food. Unlike American Chinese food, I never have to worry about MSG because I don't think they use it. I've never gotten headaches or anything. Further, their chicken noodle soup is SOOOOO good! Fresh chicken, thin egg noodles, and green onion. DELICIOUS! My favorite dish is the Chicken with Ginger and Spring Onion. Beyond that, I've tried some beef and shrimp (prawn) dishes. Lee, the owner and chef, is always accommodating. If there are specific vegetables you like, he'll add them. If there's something you can't have or don't like, he'll leave it out. If you are in Kenmare, and you want really good Chinese food, go here!"

"We were staying in Kenmare for three nights, so we had to pay a visit to the Brennan Brothers establishment. I am a fan of At Your Service and Francis Brennan in general. We decided to pop in for a tea/coffee and biscuits on the Wednesday afternoon of our stay. Firstly we had stroll around the grounds which are in a beautiful setting and very tastefully planted and maintained. We then went up to the hotel, as we approached the door, John Brennan exited the hotel using his mobile phone. He politely paused his conversation and wished us a Good Afternoon and Welcome, before leaving in his car. The young door man was effusive in his welcome as he was in ear shot of his employer, he barely mustered a grunt as we were leaving later. On entering we where greeted by another staff member inquiry as to how he could help, upon answer he escorted us across the hall to a drawing/reception room where we were greeted by a young Spanish woman. This is where the visit became like a an episode of carry on hoteling. She took our order in charming lisping English and proceeded to fold linen napkins over by the piano, whilst peering through the plants out to the foyer on her tippy toes .A couple of members of male staff came in and she either touched and patted their faces or else they put an arm around her waist and gave her a friendly squeeze. Meanwhile she kept trotting back and fort to us every 5 minutes asking us if we where happy with everything, want anything else etc. Also 4.95 is a bit steep for 4 small biscuits. We were giggling so much at the absurd behavior by the time we left we almost forgot to pay. An entertaining interlude."
