"After a tour of Jedburgh and it’s historic sights we were looking for a snack to tide us over. Jed Baguettes certainly didn’t disappoint. The staff were friendly, chatty and welcoming, the premises were spotlessly clean and the range of baguette fillings was very comprehensive. The tray bakes looked delicious as well but neither of us were that hungry. Two hot drinks completed our order and we were pleasantly surprised at how much it all cost. We took our food down to the riverside and spent a pleasant half hour enjoying our lunch whilst watching a heron fishing for his!"

"We were recommended by the b b to eat here we weren’t disappointed. Excellent choice of food cooked 2 perfection friendly staff. Al 8 of us had different meals they were all hot were served 2gether. We will return."

"I think that was my time at Provender as a solo visitor or in mixed society. the first time was eating, the atmosphere and the attentive staff fantastic but this time the dinner was more of a lunch with one. very limited choice for beginners and main. eating was still good, but as this was a special celebration, we felt a trifle underwhelmed. such a contrast to my visit that was the excellent before New Year tasting menu with wine flight, I am sure that I/we will be back. I just hope that was one?"

"I grew up in the Borders before moving to Edinburgh and must admit I've grown a bit snobby about takeaway Chinese and am very wary of them and have low expectations. Wow this one is an exception. Best Chinese takeaway we've ever had. Very flavoursome all the meat was lovely and tender. Look no further you've found the best Chinese takeaway probably in Scotland. Can't comment on delivery time etc as we picked up but after a ten minute drive home food was still lovely and hot. They need to get an online menu up though! However, it's Chinese. Order what you normally do and they'll say if they don't have it (they had everything we asked for)."

"If they like to eat meat, which is not what it seems to be on many species and rude service, then go to this restaurant. my chicken court was actually truthful that they totally disproved and we are pretty insane about it. how many chickens have they ever eaten that have a granular texture outside and when pressed with a fork was so hard and in long, thin, dry stretches that are so characteristic for truthahn? it also had this distinctive dirty taste that has dry truthahn. so it was truthahn!
