"Well we were met by a gleeful harridan who happily informed me that despite being a bed and breakfast was not included. Some obscure clause written in the booking .com website about meal options not being applicable. (you work that out! . The room was at the top of a very steep staircase but characterful. The room itself was a good size with a view over the front of the pub and the river which was nice. All the furniture was old and worn. The carpets had seen better days. The problem was that the room was dirty with an accumulation of dust from some considerable amount of time on the table. The bathroom was tiny. It was in a poor state of repair and it was filthy. The taps were broken, as was the toilet set. Tiles were stained and mouldy and the toilet unsanitary. The tea and coffee making facility which we were relying on since they refused us breakfast did not have any milk so that was the end of that! The final joy was at about 3am when a group of local youths encamped out at the front of the pub and started partying for a while. Other than that, the stay was perfect (great car park for instance!"

"I fail to see how any reviewer can possibly describe this restaurant as bland food was very tasty from the Cauliflower Maneer and Dupiaza to the Bahjis and the Naam! Nect time it's got to be one of the seafood special curries... highly commended. Just one point there is the restaurant and the PUB next door food can be served in either. There is a great selection of drinks and IF you have a pooch you can even take them in the pub! Just watch they do not steal what's on your plate!"

"We visited us on the way through the opposite when we needed a cup of tea and a box stop for our dogs. there are tables outside to enjoy the sun, but when we went to order what a pleasant surprise! the house made. cake and biscuits of very high quality, with a perfect pot tee hit the place. there is a very good menu with two curries, cakes and liqueurs as well as the usual fast lunches, sandwiches and baguettes. the couples that now run the caffe were very friendly and they should do very well. we hope to come back soon."

"On Saturday morning the family visited the breakfast, which was very good. everyone enjoyed their freshly prepared breakfast, which was made with local products, I believe. portions were generous and offer good value for money. the personal was friendly and there is a large outdoor area for which the British weather ball plays."

"It was my birthday and My hubby arranged a meal here. It was a Sunday night and they were ment to be closed but they opened for the occasion. It was a party of including young children and we pre-ordered our meals...from a choice of the bar menu and Sunday roasts. They allowed us to bring decorations and cake and they provided some light background music and excellent service and amazing food!! The staff were lovely and even encouraged us to stay longer and go in the bar after dinner. Definitely recommend x"

"Food was quite nice. But, places that put the cheap @rappy sauces on the table are basically saying that they don’t really care about serving quality food. Why they do this is beyond me! If I buy something from a pub or restaurant, why would I want put rubbish mustard or brown sauce on it?? If you put this stuff on tables, then I assume this is the quality of the ingredients in the kitchen. Please take a bit of pride in what you do, and don’t skimp on stuff like this."

"A beautiful place to visit. 2 hours free parking at the weekend. also a park with play sand for children. the best fish and chips here, the teig is so crispy and the homemade tartaric acid sauce to die."

"Great stay for families, much fun to do and the opposite is beautiful. the staff was also super helpful and friendly. we were in the cabin of the brain and it had everything we needed, toilet, teller, tassen and utensilien, water cooker, toaster, electric radiator, hand wash and toilet roll in the bathroom."
