"Recently visited with my wife. had dinner and breakfast in the restaurant. both times were nice, with the service good. the evening dinner at Sunday night was ok, a little dry, but not very bad enough to complain or send, etc. well presented and probably on average with regard to price. the restaurant was very quiet to breakfast and dinner, so there was little atmosphere, but we had a good, chilled time. the breakfast offers a good selection of the usual continental and cooked meals. both were good. I'd probably go back."

"Stayed here after a long journey from Somerset to visit Cambridge. Great location situated between A14 and the park and ride. Quiet and relaxing hotel with fields at back , comfortable and clean room away from the pub. Had an excellent evening meal, breakfast also really good. Service excellent and hosts and staff really nice people. Hopefully can stay again one day."

"Best test of a gastro pub is a busy Sunday lunch, and the Boot excelled with great service, friendly and polite, and really high quality food. Plenty of choice, not just the simple 3 roasts. With our party of 5 adults and 3 young children we had a variety of selections and all were top notch. Full marks for the tender roast beef and the most interesting fish curry. A little wait for the desserts was worth it and the pistachio soufflé was best ever. They’re doing everything right and deserve to do well. We had Doombar beer with mains but checked out the wine list and it had a broad range at various price points. The mark-ups weren’t too excessive, which is a relief in the post covid world."

"Great eating, mushing were excellent. our server was called adam and he was top class, even let me order a dessert from the children's menu and gave me crownings that my adult children found creepy. great price-performance ratio, but even better that they give 20% on blue light card holders. will definitely come again very soon."

"I didn't like this pub. It was full of drunk locals who were loud and seemed to think the pub was there for their sole benefit. OK It was coronation day, but they didn't look like royalists to me. The beer wasn't that great either. Sorry. I know a lot of people like this place, but when I commented my thoughts to someone the other night, they concurred."

"Pretty shocking breakfast this morning, been coming here for 20 years I will not be back, almost inedible full English breakfast, burnt sausages, burnt fried bread, and boiled mushrooms !!! my partners was no better with factory scrambled egg that looked like it had been sitting for hours, such a shame this place used to be amazing."

"Today with my son and I managed to smash a coffee glass on the table and floor. amazingly friendly and helpful staff checked that we were in order, thoroughly clarified and even replaced my drink, always happy. great service and personal that go beyond and beyond."
