"I had lunch at Shalom Indonesian today. It's a small old eatery managed by a waitress and chef. It was lunchtime and there was a lone diner finishing off his meal when I walked in. I ordered the Shalom Beef Ribs, Chicken satay and a cendol drink totalling $30. Being the only diner in there it still took the chef 25 minutes to prepare my simple meal. The chicken satay was quite dry but edible despite being drowned in a super sweet peanut sauce which I had to wipe off. The 3 tiny beef ribs came with a huge serve of rice. The meat was so dry and hard, most of it was inedible and it cost $13. A rip-off! The cendol drink was so sweet I had difficulty swallowing it. Many reviewers have written that they enjoy the food here so good luck to them. I simply cannot bring my family/friends here. One to avoid!"

"Walked past this cafe the other day and saw friend of mine was working in the kitchen. Then it reminded me multiple last visit quite a while ago.
I was a regular here for the last management but changed to have coffee at the Chatterbox regularly since then.
Maybe the change of the Campos coffee did not impress me but the persistence of the owner against the COVID impact deserved me to give her a good .
The good impression of the Chinese brekkie tempted me to go back sometimes.
My last experience of the combo of shredded pork preserved egg congee pineapple bun was not bad at all. CP was high at the price of only I think I should go back more often.
Rating: rating: Sep Dec"

"Sushi nikkou is hidden on busy logan rd in itself, but once they find it, it is a pleasure to visit. eating is well prepared and tastes great. it even has an actual train on tracks that supply her food. the restaurant is beautifully presented...with soft lights and music, and the train is regularly resumed."

"I had been curious to try this place for a long time since they seemed to always be so packed any time we visited Genkotsu Ramen or Charcoal BBQ next door. 'Finally today is the day' I thought as we walked into Little Lamb Hot Pot. We got in pretty early and the restaurant was only half full then it started to fill up through the evening. We picked two soups which were regular non-spicy soup and red spicy soup, then paid at the counter before starting our meal. It was around $29 per head. Looked for the table as we were given the table number. Let's the dinner begin!

The table has two cooking equipment sitting on. One was the induction stove for hot pot and the other was charcoal grill with a mechanism that turns your meat skewers slowly for even cooking.

There were so much going on in the food area. We felt a bit overwhelmed by the number of food. There were different types of meat skewers in one of the fridges; chicken, beef, lamb, fish, squid, prawn, as well as offal. I quite enjoyed pork intestine grilled to crisp on the outside and still soft on the inside and chicken skin. There were two whole big counters for soup ingredients, another fridge for thinly sliced meat for 'shabu-shabu', and yet another fridge for more soup ingredients such as various types of meatballs and also side dishes. The list doesn't end here. There were also, to both ends of the area, drink stations and ice cream freezer.

You also mix your own dipping sauce here with 3 bases they provide; sesame sauce, BBQ sauce, and spicy sauce. Don't get mixed up between BBQ sauce here and typical western BBQ sauce we all know. Their 'BBQ sauce' was meant for grilled meat. I mixed it with garlic paste and coriander. 'Voila!' Then I picked up sesame sauce for my hot pot with just a little bit of chilli oil, sesame oil, and spring onions. There are endless possibilities to how you can mix your own sauce given the number of condiments they provide. So go nuts!

Back to the table, there were two shakers on one end of the grill which are cumin salt in one and chilli in the other for sprinkling onto the meats while it's cooking. Food is quite salty so go easy on those. A stainless steel cylinder for all your used skewers. Induction stove's controller is on the side of the table. We had our hotpot sitting there not boiling for 15 minutes til we found that out.

The food was above average with fairly reasonable price. Even though it left me with smokey smelling hair, I quite like their concept and the overall experience of the night. It was interesting. *Do not recommend for anyone with severe MSG allergy."

"Personally you can not beat the steaks they serve up here! I usually get the T Bone steak with veg and fries and the size of the steak is huge! Great value for money and much quieter compared to Market Sq which is good at times. I tried the sizzling grill mix the other night and was very surprised with how much was on the plate! There was an egg, pork cutlet, chicken fillet, wagyu steak, ham, chips, mushrooms, corn, broccoli and fries! All for 28 bucks! Only downer for me is the shop on Mains Rd is closing from the 23rd of July and relocating to Underwood in the new year :("

"Been here a few times. Needless to say the service in this place is reclining rapidly. Came here 2 weeks in a row and the same waiter who can barely speak english has stuffed up our orders both times. Even the couple next to us said the same thing. If this jackass waiter can't do his job properly then he shouldn't be there. Its just embarrassing on their part. its a shame because i like this place. might have to go back to sunnybank."

"A very house-styled restaurant with homemade dresses that definitely come to them when they miss a few Chinese dishes from home. the three tassenhühnchen was a recommendation of a friend who told us that it was the best court to try at jing star, so it had to try. the chicken pieces were boneless and very tasteful. the bark with early oncrowds was somewhat overwhelming as they would assume there would be more bark than tweeting, but it seemed like the ratio of tweebel to bark almost even. the thorns exaggerated the bark meat definitiw. the bark was a bit overcooked and was pretty chewing. the sweet and acidic porridges were however quite tasty, could with a...read more"
